Whaler Inn and Suites

It was fine. Room was clean, bed comfortable, shower and tub good. It had a strong scent of some air freshener--too much for my taste; I had to leave the door open for a while to air it out. Only one window, facing the grounds and next to the door, didn't open. The grounds are fine, the staff also fine. It's on a local highway so nowhere to walk to, but convenient for driving. The breakfast is really minimal, with no tables. I chose this place over the New Bedford Harbor Hotel based on some poor reviews there, but in retrospect, given that I wanted to see New Bedford, would have picked that place--great downtown location (2 blocks from whaling museum), much more complete breakfast.

The property is under construction, but my stay was still perfect. Excellent front desk staff, hotel pub was great.

Room comfy, easy to access without going outside.

My boyfriend and I have stayed here twice now and we absolutely love it. The location is perfect—close to everything but still feels private and relaxing. Our room was spotless and cozy, and the heart-shaped jacuzzi is such a fun, romantic touch.

The attached bar is a huge bonus. It stays open until 2 a.m., so we never had to leave the property to find entertainment. The drink specials were incredible—don’t miss the pumpkin martini or the amazing energy-drink cocktail, both were to die for.

This hotel has quickly become our go-to for a quick getaway, and we can’t wait for our next stay!

It was okay clean an the environment was quiet breakfast was mid but at the end it was good stay

I’m not sure our room was 💯ready for use after a recent remodel. I don’t think all chalking was done in the bathroom. The soap dispensers either haven’t been filled yet or weren’t working. Enjoyed our evening meal at the attached Pub.

I enjoyed the stay. The room was nice. Hot tub was great. Ate at Ryan’s pub, food was great. The atmosphere was welcoming and staff was polite. Definitely a relaxing experience even if the pool was chilly. All over great time.

Could have used more/better towels by the jacuzzi tub. The sheets were gritty and didnt stay on the bed that well.

Great place to stay while visiting New Bedford. Check-in was a breeze, friendly and professional team, a pleasure to speak with. Rooms are spacious, and there is plenty of free parking. Convenient location, too. There's even an indoor pool, good for families!

Staff very friendly everything was very clean and all upgraded property I will stay there again when I go back to newbedford.

A reasonably well run facility with obvious on going updates. More attention is needed on maintenance upkeep and site security. Cameras and increased lighting could help. Site and directional signage would also be helpful.

I didn’t like how the pool was freezing and weren’t able to use it. It’s the #1 reason we booked there.

Room was nasty mold around jacuzzi. Only 2 small towels 2 the room. Blanket was not for a king size bed. Bed is hard as a rock. Room smelled horrible. Totally over priced for the room

This company should be ashamed for booking someone in this place. Toom filled with flys and other unidentifiable bugs. AC unit kept reseting amd tripping the breaker, no soap. Local Law enforcement says this is a high crime area

Mold on the sheets, you get what you pay for

we found bugs on our bed and i requested a new room and they only offered me new sheets, didnt even change them for me, just handed us a garbage bag with sheets. the shower was dirty and the water didn't go down.
