We have stayed at the Dalles Inn twice now and like the location very much.
Pros:

It is in the downtown area of the Dalles, making it a great base for exploring this historic town.

Cons:

The in room coffee maker didn’t work, or at least I didn’t use it correctly…one of the two.

Pros:

Location was great

Cons:

I booked it with expectation breakfast would be included. The motel changed ownership and no longer included breakfast. The booking site was inaccurate. They had a Cafe, but were out of breakfast items for the weekend. The room looked very "tired". The headboard of the bed was all banged up, the paint was peeling, it felt unclean. I wore my flip-flops in the room and in the shower. Bedding was minimal and sheets were written on.

Less than average.
Pros:

We chose the hotel because of the price and it was supposed to include breakfast. Ownership changed and we were told no more breakfast when we checked in. There was a Cafe but they ran out of breakfast options. The room was dingey, very worn out furniture was damaged, sheets were written on, we didn't want to take off our shoes. We wore flip flops even in shower.

Cons:

Room needed TLC, update ad with Booking.com, to include mentioning new name and no breakfast.

Hotel was nice, better than sleeping in my truck…0
Pros:

The beds were nice and clean, well lit parking lot.

Cons:

The drain in the shower wouldn’t hardly drain, after taking a 5-7 minute shower, there was water up to my ankles…. Also, the fridge didn’t work, I had been fishing and had filets I wanted to put in there to keep cool over night before placing in my cooler… we got in at around 7 pm, and had already carried our stuff in and didn’t feel like dealing with possibly changing rooms to remedy the situation…

Good value for what you get and very little noise.
Pros:

The walking location to businesses was better than I expected, especially regarding dining and libation choices.

Cons:

Easier ice access, had to go to the front desk or upstairs in another building.
The shower knob was incredibly difficult to pull out to turn on the water. I thought that something was wrong so I went to the front desk, zero on the phone does not give you the front desk, and they sent a maintenance man to show me just how difficult it was. VERY!

Great will use it again next time through the area.
Pros:

The bed was very comfortable, the room was way above what I expected for the price, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

Cons:

The only thing I can say is finding the hotel was a challenge due to lack of a sign using the name Dalles in, the sign says Rayburn Hotel or something similar due to a remodel.

Nice value and great location for my needs.

Pros:

Very friendly staff at check-in and check-out. Clean and comfortable bed. Clean room. An overall good place on our tight budget.

Cons:

Our room was in the side building located at an intersection with some traffic noise, so we definitely wanted to use the fan all night to block it. It was a very basic room without any desk space.
