Black Pearl Inn

This is a very convenient place to stay for dining and the beach! Our room at the end of the building closest to the beach has an unbelievable view that we loved! The downside of the view is that the music from town can be very intrusive.
Just bring earplugs and enjoy!
The description of the hotel says they have a bar and breakfast. There is no bar and the breakfast is offsite. It’s only a block or so away so not too much of a hardship but you won’t be having breakfast in bed.
We had to change our reservation by a day and while I had difficulty with Hotels.com, this property worked with us which was GREATLY appreciated!

One of the nicest hotels I've ever been to great views of everything You eat breakfast on the beach

The place was very clean, it had great A/C, hot water, a very powerful fridge and the staff was very friendly.

The main complaint I had is that there are birds that attack the window starting around 5 am, which makes it hard to sleep as it's very disturbing and it would be great if they had an iron on premise.

I would definitely stay at the Black Pearl Inn again.

Great walkable , in town location. Well kept grounds and friendly staff.

Room was nice and clean. AC was nice to have. Pool was clean. Breakfast was good too.

We enjoyed the stay at Black Pearl and the time in San Juan Del Sur. The owner and staff are great. We will be back again before the year is over and hope to stay at the Black Pearl again

Our 2 week stay at this Inn was fantastic. The room was big and very clean. Pool was a bonus! View from 3rd floor was fantastic and we enjoyed sitting out there, watching the sunset. Oscar at the front desk was always there to answer and help with our questions. Greta kept our room clean (spotless) as well as keeping the grounds clean. Jairo was there at night, working, keeping the outdoors tidy as well as watching over the inn. Breakfast is included in your stay. It is served at the restaurant (Iguana's) down the street. The staff at Iguana's is awesome. Victor, Lesley and Marbel were so friendly and welcoming. Food was great, with lots to choose from. We would absolutely return.

This hotel is basic, but with good standards. It is a short walk to the beach. Breakfasts on the beachfront are very enjoyable. Staff is helpful.

The Black Pearl Inn was perfect! The location is amazing, and our view to the ocean from our window and balcony was stunning. This is a place that has character, heart, and all the accommodations you could ask for. We will be back!

Great place, nice surroundings, literally few minutes walk to the beach. Henry, the owner, is definitely doing everything to make the place friendly and relaxing. We enjoyed the pool and free "all day" breakfast at Iguana bar. The only not exactly positive thing to mention was loud music from a restaurant on the beach (they have live music on weekends), but I think you would hear it in the radius of at least half a mile, so no matter what hotel you choose, weekend nights are not going to be quiet in San Juan del Sur.

I think having a basic plastic cutlery pcs in the room for someone to use when needed . Considering that the restaurant was not on the same premise In my case I had some fruit that I bought and just wanted to use to cut and eat

Fantastic experience. Large, clean room, nice bedding, comfy mattress, fridge, roomy shower, A/C. Grounds were meticulously maintained as was the pool which was a refreshing way to end each day with beautiful views of the beach. Perfectly situated close to town and beach, but with enough distance for a peaceful and quiet night. Best place we stayed and Best breakfast out of 5 hotels across Nicaragua.

We absolutely loved staying at Black Pearl Inn. The ocean view was amazing and the room itself was like a resort. Henry is the epitome of the gracious host- a true Southern gentleman. The breakfast was a special bonus- everything from a traditional Nica breakfast to Henry’s special- American favorites. We didn’t know you could get bacon this good outside the US! Especially great is that it’s an all day breakfast- available anytime of day!😊 The staff helped with everything from beach recommendations to arranging our taxi to the Ometepe Island ferry. By the way, location is perfect- truly a five minute walk to the beach. Thank you so much!

Was a great location just a block off the main beach road or the business center. Some nights the noise from the beach front bars was unbearable. One night until 4:30 AM. Probably heard this no matter where you stayed. Good thing I had noise canceling headphones. Pool was great and the included breakfast was fantastic! The facilities were clean and modern. This place is very new
