Location - quiet
Rooms were outdated. Not chair. Torn carpet. Old tub.
We recently stayed at this hotel to celebrate our wedding anniversary and unfortunately had a disappointing experience.
Upon arrival, we were informed that the room type we had reserved — a king room with a private balcony, booked two months in advance — was no longer available. Chrishell at the front desk was warm and professional and attempted to assist us, but needed to involve a manager. The manager who came to the desk did not provide much explanation and informed us there were no rooms of that category available. The interaction felt dismissive and lacked the hospitality we would expect, especially given the circumstances.
Chrishell did secure an alternate room for us; however, the balcony was shared with a neighboring suite, which was not what we had specifically reserved and paid a premium for. After seeing the condition of the room — which appeared worn, outdated, and not well maintained — we ultimately decided to leave and check into another hotel.
The location of the property is excellent, particularly for first-time visitors to New Orleans. With updated accommodations and improved service consistency, this hotel has the potential to provide a much stronger guest experience.
We do want to acknowledge Paul at the bar and Chrishell at the front desk, both of whom were kind and professional during our brief stay.
Location
The cockroach invested room. The manager said she will give me a refund and never did.
False promises. Very badly managed
Location
The cockroach invested room. Management lied about refund.
Very rude and badly managed
Location.stayed here before and was very pleased
Was told 25 for parking it's 56, resturaunt hrs are unknown.open now and then and nobody staff wise gives you same info on times.booked specifically because of pool but pool was closed for maintenence way before we booked.its been cold and our heat in room wouldnt work.asked 2 times to have it looked at wich took one night of freezing before maintenence finally showed up and said he fixed it wich he did not.3rd times a charm? Nope still no heat at round 3 so we had to move rooms and went to the other extreme.hot and not very controllable heat last night.leaving today.enough is enough.grouchy rude staff, dilapidated equiptment,no reasturant /bar open hardly ever definetily no breakfast as we thought.and forget room service, resturaunts always closed.never coming back.
The location was great but walking everywhere was a headache. Our key to the room did not work. The front desk kept redoing the keys until they got an attitude and said don't come down anymore just wait on maintenance. Maintenance came one time and didn't show back up and the problem was not fixed. The manager finally came 3 hours later and fixed our key and door. Be mindful that this is an older hotel with a lot of issues. My heat didn't work but after the whole ordeal with the door I didn't want to deal with the staff until check out. The fire extinguisher is outdated as well as the pre connect fire hose is not regulation.
Hotel is very rundown for what you pay.Mold and mildew in the bathroom, along with other people’s pubic hairs. AC did not work properly. Key fobs didn’t even work to let us in the room. Only convenience is location. Would never stay here again.
We stayed in the Carriage House during Mardi Gras and it was the perfect escape from the madness. Plenty of room for the family to have their own space and for group meetings in the downstairs living room to plan our days. Private but will all the comforts of staying in the hotel. Staff was more than friendly and helped with every request. Could not have asked for a better experience. All expectations were exceeded!
We had a beautiful balcony room, which would have been perfect to watch a parade, but the route changed. The staff here are exceptional! So helpful and kind, and all the folks doing the cleaning were on top of it! This is our favorite FQ hotel!
the room i was booked in to looked nothing like the website. I had holes in the linens, one drawer in the dresser was stuck open, can not open or close it, furnishing were mismatched and really worn out looking, lamp shade had mold/stains. bathroom was very dilapidated, random cracks on the wall, caulking rotted out, shower was also in desperate need of upgrading.
wifi was intermittent, staff barely acknowledged me after check in (with the exception of one lovely woman) No room service, the restaurant on premise was open once during my 6 night stay,
Location perfect for a 3 night 'taste' of New Orleans, and in its day this must have been a very fine hotel but it is need of decorating/refurbishment, in keeping with its period style. Staff were very helpful, especially Jonika.
On arrival at about 8pm, no phone in room, safe not working, cold draught from air conditioning, no guide to setting up TV, water not very hot. As it was midweek, no bar, no food, no entertainment. Jonika, sorted out some initial problems with the assistance of maintenance lad, she also ordered up delivery of a pizza. Unfortunately we were very disappinted.
It was a beautiful property. Staff was very friendly and helpful. It was close enough to walk to all the atttactions and restaurants yet far enough away that we weren’t bothered by noisy streets all night long and very much enjoyed the balcony.
The TV didn’t work at first but was quickly fixed when we alerted the front desk. The phone cord was broken so we couldn’t use the phone to call the front desk and the coffee pot was missing parts. Nothing bad enough to ruin our visit though.
Everything
Only complaint is it’s kinda thin walls/door and you can hear the other room pretty well
The room. It wasn't what the pic online have. Need to retake pics of the rooms again
Perfect location between bars in the Quarter. Very friendly staff.
The hotel seems a little dated. the furnishings have wear and tear. The towel rack was detached from the wall when we checked in so we were moved to another room. The tv in that room had connectivity issues and rarely worked.
Location and cost. Enjoyed the bar and entertainment
Bathtub would not drain correctly
