Good size of room with great view of Sakurajima, great selection of breakfast, free ramen in the evening, lovely private onsen.
There is also an onsen at the balcony, however it wasn’t very clean, we had to give it a clean before using it.
Friendly and helpful staff, however you have to press the buzzer at the reception desk or you wait, even they can see you looking for help.
We arrived with quite a few suitcases and stuff ….no one was helping us with the luggage or even offering to help which was quite disappointing.
There is no laundry service or facilities to use.
Super Lage, bei richtigem Zimmer tolle Aussicht (die Waldzimmer sind es nicht wert), toller Oasen, besonders auch die privaten Onsen, viel Angebot für Hundehalter, Frühstück reichhaltig, viele Optionen, aber sehr turbulent, Personal extrem freundlich, Englisch als Sprache praktisch nicht vorhanden, nur eine sehr freundliche Angestellte konnte gutes Englisch, der Rest praktisch gar nicht. Der Ort an sich ist , wie viele solche Orte in Japan fast tot. Wir waren ausserhalb der Saison, aber man sieht deutlich, dass viele Geschäfte, Häuser, Hotels leer stehen und teils verfallen. guter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen im Gebiet.
Wie überall in Japan liegen in den Saunen auf allen Bänken dicke Handtücher, Teppiche die alle nutzen. D.h., alle schwitzen in das gleiche Handtuch, wenig hygienisch, die bereitgestellten Sitzkissen werden wenig benutzt,

回線状況が悪すぎて、泊まっていた部屋は圏外でした。そのせいで携帯が触られず、最悪な環境でした。温泉や食事は良かったのに非常に残念です。

環境整潔，私湯溫泉湯令人滿意。
晚餐特別問是否有日式料理、櫃檯人員說只有一種西式料理、結果晚上用餐時很多客人都是用日式料理，我們卻只能夠吃西式料理、最主要是西式料理真的不怎麼樣。差別待遇令人不舒服。

- Room was huge and the private outdoor onsen was amazing.
- Though the breakfast was okay - lots of buffet options though - the set course dinner was fantastic!
- No need to pre-reserve time in the private outdoor onsens (the non-in-room ones)
- A decent base to explore the surrounding parks and mountains
- complimentary drinks and ice pops
- provides nice views of sakurajima and the surrounding hills and mountains
- wish we had more than one night here
Nothing really. Something kept it from being a 10...but I can't quite put my finger on it. The price? It was probably our most expensive stay during our 3 week trip on a per night basis, but it did include dinner and breakfast. Still, a wonderful place that we would stay at again.
