We are back again after a year! My Son had orientation at Penn State. It only 7 minutes from the school. Hotel is very clean. My husband got an upgrade cause of his status. Front desk is great. As for the bistro, not so good. Went there for a quick bit. The girl working at night, did not even give us silverware, just gave us takeout we were planning to eat there. I asked for blue cheese they did not have it, I asked then for green goddess she said nothing was made. And they had no tomato soup. Which we love from the Courtyard. For breakfast was even worse, I heard them tell someone they did not have decaffeinated made yet. The food took so long, the 2 people working looked very overwhelmed. I love the Courtyard and the hotel is great but the Bistro better do better not sure what would happen when it is actually really busy.

This is Possibly the second best hotel in Penn State. I stop out here for work occasionally and when I’m too lazy to go around town finding food you can find a cold drink and good food down in the bistro. Good food Good service, friendly staff. I would recommend anyone traveling to Penn State.

I very rarely rate any hotel 5 stars/circles but this Courtyard is truly an exception. Although it's an older property it has been refurbished and is immaculate. Very clean inside and out. All of the staff were friendly and accommodating. One front office staff was outstanding - Goldie. Professional, friendly and very accommodating in every regard. Give her a raise! The breakfast was excellent. During the week the clientele are mostly business people who were quiet and left for work early in the morning.

If you plan to stay here I recommend a room facing the front -they have even numbers. The back of the property faces a main town street and directly behind the hotel is a restaurant where you may be able to hear the constant noise of an exhaust fan and perhaps some music in the evening.

The check in staff ask me the purpose of my trip, and because I was visiting someone at the assisted living facility across the street, I got a discount!

Came here for a one night stay cause my Son was looking at Penn State. It’s down the road from the college. We arrived on a Wednesday night 12:30am. The lady at the front desk was very nice thanked me for my Ambassador status. Asked why we are visiting and told my Son good luck. Told us what time the Bistro opens and told me that she will be making coffee before it opens. The hotel is very clean, room is huge and very clean. Not a big deal but when I went to take a shower the body wash was empty in the shower. I did bring my own but it’s just a little detail. This hotel looks like it was just redone. We wish we could stay here longer. Bistro in the am was fast and food was real good. Definitely will use this hotel again if my Son decides to go here.

Ice cold water in the shower, room wasn’t switched even after I let front desk know multiple times. Bed sheets were not clean and had a smell
