Wingate by Wyndham Lake George

There were many rowdy customers. Running around down the hallways, a party of 6 being extremely loud in the lobby after hours (9PM-2AM). Management acted like they were afraid to speak to the customers. Leading myself to say something which fell on deaf ears. Having to wake up at 5am to go to work in the local area I should have checked out and went to another hotel. Being someone that was traveling for work I can say I will never stay in this hotel again due to this situation.

Also after waking up the first day I not only had a staff member come into my room with out knocking. But they said I had checked out when I had 3 days pre paid to stay. The gentlemen ran away after realizing I was still in the room. After confronting him at the desk he told me there was a mess up online and that it wasn't his fault.

No breakfast was available on the first morning due to the lack of customers that had checked in the night before. I totally understand this, but I was told there would be bag handed out instead with breakfast. This was not the case the second floor was locked up on all 3 stairways. No on was at the desk. For what I paid I expected more I guess. I will be contacting the HQ. Something I never do.

The place would be great if it was not rundown. Linens smelled unwashed including the towels. It reminded me of an old apartment when you walk in it has that old smell and no matter how much you clean it, it still looks and smells old. All the USB’s except one didn’t work. The hair dryer was broken it had tape on it. The lights in the room were so weird. There was almost like a spot light in the room. The guy would not let us check in 2 hours early without charging us. There was not one car in the parking lot! If you want a place to rest your head for a night with no expectations this is your place. We will not stay there again.

Breakfast was really bad. Sour juice and most items were stale. Seemed like the same food was presented day after day. Only thing fresh was the waffle batter. Everything else was old and not fresh at all.

There is no breakfast served on Monday morning

The “fitness center” only had 3 pieces of equipment and 2 of the pieces of equipment were broken. It was tiny and the machines were extremely cheap.

The breakfast was not good. They did not have a good variety and did not replenish the food.

The beds to hard and not comfortable.

The beds were cheap and way too firm, the "hot breakfast" was bagels, toast and a waffle maker. When I get "hot breakfast" advertised I imagine there's more to it than what was provided. Tried the apple juice and orange juice and both had a taste of fermentation to it. Decided to drink the water instead and that also had a tinge of a nasty taste to it. My husband got locked out of the room for nearly 2 hours because there was no one at the front desk to accommodate him. The walls were very thin to the point that if you stayed silent you could clearly hear all the talking in the room next door. When it came to the bathroom I used it to urinate then turned to wash my hands in the sink and as soon as I turned to wash my hands in the sink upon turning on the sink and the water turned instantly yellow. The same color yellow that I had used had in the toilet. The "express checkout" wasn't my favorite either. If there was a way of making sure my keycard wouldn't be taken by someone other than an employee I would be okay with it. But that's not the case. Its fully accessible to anyone who walks by. Never received a bill on my way out so I figured that they would be emailing it to me. I was incorrect. I plan on stopping by today to pick one up. Cause when the site informed me I would pay $257.52 and they charged me an extra $100 and claimed I would be receiving it in 7 days even though there were 2 transactions. One for $257.52 and the other for the $100 hold. The hold was removed from my bank account but the charge remained the same with no refund. When I called about it first they "couldn't find me in the system" then he tried to tell me that it appeared that I had cancelled my reservation. It seems pretty obvious from this review that I had not. Overall this is a shady place and ran very poorly. Would not recommend.

They just upset the room which we paid for fir 2 nights and think we leave some we have to wait to get in

The breakfast was very limited in choices.

No source of protein

Room was damp. Towels were still damp after 2 days. Room had a musty smell.
