The location of the hotel was fantastic
My party arrived with kids after a football tournament, at reception the staff were very friendly upon arrival, we booked a table online but staff said they didn't have knowledge of the booking, we had to wait for people to leave and get our own table one by one to fit our large party of 11 in total, the kids were well behaved but felt like staff kept looking over if they were being a nuisance. We got the impression the hotel is not child friendly which was very disappointing, I would love to go back to the hotel if all of that didn't happen as the location was perfect and the hotel was lovely, it definitely but a dampener on the night away

Decoration, layout, style.
Sehr schönes Haus, toll eingerichtet. Die Zimmer sind etwas aus der Mode, passt aber zum gesamten Stil.
Leider kann ich nur eine 7 vergeben, da wir die Nacht überhaupt kein Auge zumachen konnten. Es gab eine lokale Veranstaltung im Hotel, mit DJ und lauter Musik. Das wäre alles nicht so schlimm gewesen, wenn man uns, die mit dieser Veranstaltung überhaupt nichts zu tun haben, einfach ein Zimmer zur anderen Seite gegeben hätte!!! Dann hätten wir nicht so viel mitbekommen. Unser Zimmer war direkt über dem Veranstaltungsraum und zur Party-Terrasse raus! Die Musik war bis ca.1:00 Uhr nachts noch nicht ganz so laut, dann wurde aber bis ca. 3:00 Uhr nachts noch mal voll aufgedreht. Anschließend durften wir den alkoholisierten Gästen auf der Terrasse noch zuhören. Alle anderen Hotelgäste, waren auf dieser Veranstaltung und fanden es sicher nicht schlimm. Aus diesem Grund werden wir unseren Aufenthalt leider nicht in guter Erinnerung behalten.

Breakfast was delicious, a hearty full Irish.
Beds were very comfortable.

Lovely hotel and decoration . Staff friendly and food , handy for getting into Kilkenny , also a bus goes into Kilkenny from outside if u didn’t want to take car into Kilkenny. Nice little pubs in castlecomer too !
