Charming hotel very close to Burnham Park. Delicious breakfast comes free with the room.
We have mixed emotions about our stay at this hotel.
We stayed at one of their balcony supreme rooms, the room is quite spacious and adorned with dainty fixtures and a comfortable and huge bed. The balcony, however, didn’t have anything in it aside from the AC inverter outdoor unit. We were given a room with a view of an abandoned looking building which made it uncomfortable to even look at so we didn’t really see the point in having a balcony in the first place. The room had paper thin walls we literally could hear the alarm clock coming from next door! Unfortunately, there were multiple business conferences happening on the duration of our stay and the participants were very noisy having no consideration whatsoever for other hotel guests. We were so frustrated! We were woken up with unnecessary noise coming from outside even in the wee hours of the night. We also found it weird how they somehow mixed regular hotel guest breakfast with the people attending seminars. Breakfast time is very chaotic, the food was extremely disappointing and staff just couldn’t care less. I asked for a chili oil from the egg counter and had to witness another staff rudely tell the egg staff that she doesn’t know where the chili oil is as she isn’t the one working in the kitchen. What a circus!
Security Guard/Concierge were nice and helpful though. Housekeeping staff were also nice and polite one of them even came to apologize because one of the new housekeeping staff accidentally rang our doorbell by mistake.
Spa was superb!
King Chef offers great selection of chinese food.
Front desk/reception was a hit and miss.
Overall, the rooms and facilities have so much potential but greatly lacks proper management. For the price, it’s not really worth it. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
I have read other reviews similar to what we have experience and clearly, management isn’t really doing anything to address these issues.
Not Pet friendly. Toilet is dirty. Rude customer services gard is not respectful because i have my dog his approached is nit acceptable. Not Pet friendly. Toilet is dirty. Rude customer services gard is not respectful because i have my dog his approached is nit acceptable.
I used to love staying here that is why during my recent business trip to Baguio, I made sure to book here and even invited my other colleagues to stay here as well. But it was really disappointing from the beginning :(
The parking lot attendant did not assist us in the front parking (the front street was busy) so I had a hard time parking my car. It was drizzling at that time, but when I pulled up, the guard just stared at me while I struggled with my umbrella and luggage bags. I had to ask him to help me to the front desk as I was carrying several bags.
I was assigned to B3, and all afternoon, it was very noisy in our floor. The serving cart was very noisy and it seems they were hauling tanks and other stuff near the spa area. I actually wanted to get a spa treatment but it was very noisy so i opted to go to the Manor instead.
Arriving here after 4 hours of travel from Manila and coming from business meetings, all we ever ask is a pleasant and peaceful stay in our hotel. But The Orchard, sadly , now has obviously depreciated their standards in customer service.
If you are in Baguio looking for comfort and a little bit of relaxing sleep after a long day, better to just add a little bit more and stay in BCC or the Manor. Avoid Orchard Hotel at all cost!
Clean staffs are very helpful
We booked a hotel prior to our visit to Baguio from June 9-10 2024 and we decided to choose The orchard Baguio hotel, from the hotel entrance , lobby reception we are guided by their very polite staff 🥰 since we arrived earlier around 11am and our check in time was 3pm we decided to have our lunch at King Chef (The restaurant inside the hotel) the food was great and so flavorful 🤤 especially their dimsum (My favourite japanese siomai) after that we went to visit botanical garden and we enjoyed beautiful ambience and nice view. We went back to our hotel around 3pm to proceed for room check in, and my God it was perfect room, very clean with the balcony with great ambience, our room has been upgraded from without balcony to room with balcony 🥰😇 we also tried little cafe at 6th floor for our dinner, the food are awesome good value for money 🫶 so we had a great night rest and on our 2nd day our bfast venue at the Harvest @Basement level was perfect 🙌👌 good selections of foods especially their longanisa, fruits and some cakes, me and my son enjoyed their egg omelette too from their live cooking section 🤗🥰 my youngest daughter love their blueberry cheesecake too ❤️ I can say that our 2 days 1 night stay at the Orchard Hotel Baguio are very memorable, worth it and overall great value for money, it was satisfying 🙌we will surely coming back in this hotel for providing us excellent service 😊 special thanks to Alicia from the reception and to Ariel more power🫰
Thanks God for our Pleasant stay ☺️ 🙏
To God be the Glory 🙌
too pricy! compared with other Baguio hotel.
not enough parking space, we need to park on side of road.
they have two restaurants the king chef and that little cat coffee ...
poor wifi .
lacks hotel maintenance and pls improve your service...
Very responsive and friendly staff. They try to fullfil any request and my primary concern. Thank you Comfortable beds, quiet. Good location close to city center. Breakfast is good. The location, value for money, easy choice, cleanliness and comfortable...
Definetly to recommend King Chef! Food was superb specially xiao long bao. They have tea which they service right away which i find it nice after eating. We would like to thank Sarah who welcomed and take cared of us. Its one the best place to eat in Baguio City. We will be back again!
The room was clean. Staff courteous. I loved the Little Cafe at the 6th floor. We stayed till late. Buffet breakfast was very good and we enjoyed it. I loved the variety. Highly recommended to visitors of Baguio. Will definitely come back again.
Become worse than ever!
Breakfast today served at the Lobby and no more juices!
Had stayed here couple of years already and our last was Christmas 2022 with couple of complaints (like flooding toilet) and was promised to get better service if we come back.
And now with last option choosing this Hotel because probably it will be better this time, instead became rather terrible! While writing this review Im still furious with the toothbrush refill that front desk said will be charged?! What! Are you kidding me? 2nights booking (Php12,000 worth) and I need to use the same toothbrush as yesterday? Hello!!! The fee is P6000/night on a premier room and this is how you treat your guest? I even need to explain myself that the I paid for the 2days set of toothbrush already? Is this a Hotel or Transient room you are offering here?!!?
Aside from the requested bed setup for our anniversary (thanks to the lady who helped me), our 1st night was almost disastrous as we are super tired from travel and we requested a quiet room. The 1st room given had a connecting door wherein you can hear the other rooms noise from TV and chitchats! While the 2nd option is under the Resto at roof deck which we opted is bearable but at 1am, my wife who is a light sleeper heard chairs & tables being pulled here & there. We were notified earlier about it but with promise that they will do their best to keep the noise down.
And to mind that I was asked to pay immediately as if Im going to fly out without paying, wow! No sense of hospitality at all! Geezzz! 😠😠😠
I dont recommend this hotel anymore unless they make amends on all the incovenience we had here!
Check in was a nightmare very unorganized staff it was like we never had a room booked. Check out wasn’t much better. Every time you logged on to the wifi there was log on issues. The room was spacious and clean so no complaints there
Late review. Our stay was good and exceptional, service was good, food at the restaurants was good! We tried both the chinese restaurant and the rooftop restaurant, all good and memorable. The hotel is small, and they also have a busy lobby. Helpful staffs.
Bedroom was clean and we had a good view from the balcony. Breakfast needs improvement. Mediocre taste and service-wise. Understandably, we stayed during a busy long weekend but it should have been anticipated given the number of people checked in. We were at the cafe by 7:45am and there was barely any food left. We had to wait a long time for them to refill all the empty chafers. Location is pretty good. It’s about a 10 minute downhill walk to Burnham Park.
They don’t explain that they have standard rooms without AC, so when my family arrived with the three rooms, which another family member reserved for us, unbeknownst to them we had to pay an extra 1200 pesos to upgrade to premium rooms. I hate surprise gimmicky things already, which gave a bad omen like feel to the stay.
The first thing my brother in law tells me after it takes an hour to check in, while I dealt with my fussy 10 month old, is that it would cost 500 pesos if we lose the room key. That is a long and slow check in process.
Let’s see, the patios have no furniture to sit on so there is no lounging in them. The internet is capped at 2 devices per room, and there is no switching of devices during the stay. So after my wife and I logged on with our cell phones, I couldn’t switch out a device to my daughters iPad. The TV only had Netflix and no cable channels.
The showers leaked into the toilet area which seemed part of the design because there was a drain under the sink. The bathroom sink was clogged, filled fast, and drained slow.
When we asked for an extra towel and pillow evening for my baby, it took over 45 minutes for them to come, so we just shared towels. I went down to reception to ask in the middle of my wife and baby showering and it didn’t seem like a friendly encounter.
The worst part was that later on in the evening after just returning from SM mall, our van driver urinated on the far side where he parked in the parking lot. And the security guard ran over and told him we was going to be fined 2000 pesos. Later on with attitude the same receptionist told my brother with attitude we would need to pay 5000 pesos. The following morning during checkout they withheld a cash deposit of 3000 pesos for one of the rooms. When we wanted to talk to a manager at 9am they said one would come at 10am or noon, so we went out and around and then returned at 1pm. They refused to let us speak to a manager.
We weren’t against paying a fine but the equivalent of $60 US dollars was excessive, and another receptionist told us they talked to someone, never explained who, and they still told us no we owe 3000 pesos. After a long debate with multiple employees they finally returned the security deposit. Their contract mentions reckless act, mind you but it was raining on and off our entire time, there were no signs, warnings or explanations for what our driver should do.
Again it was outside and we parked at the far wall opposite of the entrance. The following day they also accused our driver of being drunk despite us being with him for over a week and us using him many times in the past, and us just returning from a full day of excursions and having him east dinner with us. The inconsistent charge they told us was abhorrent and the fact that it was so excessive made the whole ordeal of arguing for 15 minutes with no one ever identifying as management was abhorrent. They had to have a person teaching Hotel hospitality etiquette, who didn’t work for the hotel, tell them to apologize and just fully refund us for causing us to get so upset over our simple request to not over charge us the penalty amount of their infraction.
Despite being a popular hotel to locals, I strongly recommend looking for another hotel until management gets their act together.
The bedroom was good.
Staff were good.
Unfortunately, breakfast was poor.
They need to teach the egg cook how to cook eggs.
Need larger cups as the ones provided for tea and coffee are far too small.
At dinner, asked for spaghetti and got linguine.
But…..I repeat……staff were good.
The sweet banana they served for breakfast was sour and it made me vomit. The checking out wasn't smooth and friendly. I waited for more than 20 minutes just to be told that one of the room I reserved had a towel with coffee stain. Therefore, they're required to charge me 200 pesos for coffee spilled. The front desk had the audacity to asked me what to do with the coffee stained towel. The staff apologized for the inconvenience, but I said no need to apologize because it was my fault to reserved a room and stay there. If you like a dingy looking towels, this is for you. If you like waiting 20 minutes to check out, this is for you. I will NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone. One mistake is plenty for me!
It was our first time again to visit Baguio City after pandemic and the Orchard Hotel never failed to give us good service and relaxing comfort during our stay.
Cleanliness is still the priority and you will feel the coziness of the room which will welcome you after the whole day of city tour.
Property were okay, but the price of the room is crazy, because it’s far from being a five hotel. I will never stay there again
Charges for every little thing. Internet sucked for my entire stay. Kept having to login after being kicked off every few minutes. Basic hotel @ premium price. Final kicker, 500php charge for room key card. I will pick another hotel for our next visit.
