Nicely appointed facility. Good restaurant. Convenient location.

We were a group of 6 celebrating a milestone birthday. The front desk sent us a complimentary bottle of champagne and some cheeses. We had to call housekeeping a few times (for coffee, extra towel) and they very polite and were at our door in minutes with our request. We all had spa treatments and they were fantastic!
My wife and I love this hotel and bar. Staff are wonderful and rooms are comfortable and clean. We only wish we could have stayed longer.
Amazing breakfast!
Great barista!
Wonderful service from our waiter - Mark!
Lafayette Park Hotel is a gem of a place to stay. We’ve been there a handful of times and we are treated well, the rooms have been remodeled and are lovely. Nice pool for the summer with a spa. The restaurant has always been great. Easy access to the freeway for travelers.
The food was great.

Excellent hotel, fairly priced. Nice rooms, friendly staff. Beds are very comfortable, shower in my room was over a bath which might not be right for everyone.
The serve breakfast, lunch and dinner in the restaurant ( kitchen closes at 9pm) - vegetarian menu (and the chef will cook vegan dishes too)
Close to Bart station and the town of Lafayette
Very cosy and welcoming.
I really like this property! I've stayed at the Lafayette Park hotel as a guest, have attended parties there, and have dined at the restaurant (I live locally). I love knowing the hotel is so close; it's a classier option for any of our out of town guests and feels welcoming and unique compared to staying at a chain property. We stayed there when getting work done at our house and had no complaints.
I like to use their spa every few months and I really enjoy my time there; it feels like a getaway even if I'm only there for a few hours. Their massage therapists are wonderful and the lady who does check-in is warm and professional. The reason I'm giving 4 and not 5 stars is because there are a few things that would improve the experience: the locker room is so tiny that it's awkward if you're trying to change and anyone comes in; you're basically shoulder to shoulder with a stranger which isn't relaxing! The other thing is that the "relaxation" area is increasingly shabby: the pillows have holes in them, and the upholstery is grubby; it's noticeable even in the low light. The seats aren't very comfortable in that room either and the magazines are limited and old. Making a few updates there would improve the vibe.
Lastly, it'd be nice if they allowed spa-only visitors to pre-book pool/hot tub time rather than only allowing you to purchase pool access at the time of spa check-in. I'd definitely make use of it if I could reliably pre-book the pool but my schedule is always tight and doesn't allow for any last minute lingering. (But perhaps this is the point...to discourage day visitors from using the pool... sigh!)
Very nice, clean, classy facility. The staff was professional and helpful. The room was big and comfortable. The restaurant was nice but not overly fancy. The menu was lacking in vegetarian options.
Excellent and beautiful hotel with a romantic vibe. Was upgraded at check in to an absolutely stunning suite. Was taken care of well.
A swanky little hotel in this part of NorCal.
Stayed with some other folks, and coming in without much of an impression, I was pleasantly whelmed. The architecture is Italian inspired, especially with the center courtyard (which was empty on the gloomy, rainy morning we checked out ok), and the vibes in the pool area.
The rooms are a slightly generic level of upscale nice. Bed was comfy. In terms of amenities, there’s two sets of Nespresso pods (one decaf the other not), paper cups and lids, along with two cans of water, a bar of soap that’s labeled for your face but is where hand soap would be, lotion, makeup wipes, and attached-to-the-wall refilled pumps of body wash, shampoo, and a “crème” that I think is conditioner? The brand is Lather, if that helps you look it up beforehand. You can call and ask for additional amenities (dental kit, etc).
Room also has a pretty large and empty mini fridge, a writing desk, a little bench, etc. Shower/tub in our room was not renovated and was giving airport Marriott (not complementary). Our view was relatively sad looking but I don’t think there are any good views in this hotel. Another room we saw had a view of the cemetery nearby.
There’s a tiered grand staircase that connects the first three floors. On the entryway to the staircase on the second floor, the “business center” is accessible, though it’s a pretty sad looking one - a PC, printer, and office chair in the back corner of the staircase.
In the morning, there’s a coffee/cocoa/tea station in the lobby by the ATM. The lobby isn’t that large (there isn’t much seating, and the big Christmas tree took up some of the walking room) but the station was never busy. There’s an onsite restaurant apparently popular enough to have its own sign on the drive up. We did not go during this stay, but I’ve heard good things if that’s any indication. Was bustling the morning I woke up.
There’s a heated pool as well as a hot tub with button-activated jets. Closing time for the area can def be pushed if you stay out there - no one bugged me or the other folks I was out with when I stayed about 20 minutes after the fact. The exercise room (which has a rack and Peloton but is otherwise eh) is open 24 hours, and you have to walk through the pool area to access it, so that’s probably why.
Service was super polite and helpful. Thanks to the staff on property for being a memorable part of our stay.
Downtown Lafayette isn’t too far of a walk, but the surrounding area isn’t the most pleasantly walkable because of the stroad. If you’re staying here you are probably driving anyways. Parking is $25 per night per car.
Would I stay here again? This is probably the nicest property nearby. So probably.
This is a very nice property and a good place to stay if you happen to be in Lafayette. Our room was spacious and quiet. The bathroom was large. It had a shower and tub. The shower head was a spray. Not much water. The bed was soft and squishy. Not our preference. However I got a good nights sleep. The restaurant was nothing great. Two bowls of granola and yogurt and a cup of coffee was $30. That used all our breakfast credit. Bottom line: I’d stay here again. Forego their breakfast. It beats sleeping on my brothers pull out couch.
The room was very nice and very clean. We requested a plaza view, so it was quiet. In the past we had a room that faced the highway, which was very noisy. One of the two elevators was down, so wait times were 10-15 minutes during busy times. The staff never mentioned this prior to or during our stay.
We ordered room service breakfast from the bistro on two mornings. The restaurant staff clearly doesn’t prioritize room service orders because it could take 20+ minutes to get someone to answer the phone and take our order. Then, when the food finally arrived, portions were cold, including the water for our tea.
The hotel is beautiful and very well located, but they need to increase their focus on operations if they want to continue to charge the rates they do.
The staff was so kind to provide us with a complimentary room upgrade! The staff was very friendly and helpful, and brought up a pack and play to our room when they saw we were traveling with a baby. The Nespresso machine and bottled water was also a very nice touch!
This was so fault of the hotel, however there was a holiday party going on, and it was very loud into the late evening.
