Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful! Room was excellent. Whole hotel was peaceful, quiet, and luxurious.

Business trip. The Lafayette Park Hotel is perfect for a 2-3 day business trip. The hotel is very clean with spacious rooms and very friendly staff. I only ate there once and had a very good salad. The location isnt romantic as it sits close to the highway with very limited outdoor space... thats the ONLY reason id call it a practical business stop, rather than a nice getaway. The hotel is a short walk or drive into the town where there are nice shops and restaurants. The staff were very welcoming. The rooms are large/updated and clean.

The Lafayette Park Hotel & Spa is a must stay. The rooms are stunning--luxurious in every way imaginable, from the velvet sofa to the robes. The bed is the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. I live an hour away and cannot wait to return for a weekend just to sleep in that bed again!

Relaxing environment, large room, it has character and is not just another cookie-cutter hotel chain.

I stay at the Lafayette Park Hotel at least a week out of every month and I absolutely love this place. The rooms are terrific -- large and light and quiet and comfortable and with every possible amenity. The staff is welcoming, caring and super competent. And the beautiful, clean outdoor pool is kept at a super swimmable temperature of 85 degrees year round.

The best. So elegant, friendly, quiet and cozy. My go to in the area.

We had a great stay for three nights at this hotel. We were in a two king room on the 4th floor. The beds are some of the most comfortable we have encountered in a hotel and everyone who assisted us was very warm, professional and friendly. We dined at the restaurant for three breakfasts and two dinners. Everything was excellent. Also upon check in we learned about the complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby which was great!

The Lafayette Park Hotel & Spa was the final act of our week's "Bay Area Crawl," and it was a lovely one. After San Francisco, Menlo Park, and Monterey, arriving in Lafayette felt like easing into a more relaxed East Bay cadence: sunny, residential, prosperous, and just a little tucked away from the more obvious circuits. Lafayette Park Hotel has an old-world graciousness that suits that setting. It is elegant without being stiff, romantic without being saccharine, and very clearly cared for. The hotel’s own materials emphasize the French farmhouse-inspired setting of its restaurant and the refined-but-welcoming character of the property.

What worked so well for me was that Lafayette feels lived in. It is not trying to be trendy. Instead, it offers comfort, style, and the sense that you can settle in for a few days and enjoy the softer pleasures of the East Bay—tree-lined streets, nearby hills, easy drives to see people, and evenings that lend themselves to a proper dinner and a cocktail. After a week of moving around, this was an ideal place to land for three nights.

The Park Bistro felt very much in keeping with both the hotel and the town: refined, welcoming, and grounded in California abundance rather than culinary theater. The restaurant is known for sustainable seafood, farm-fresh produce, and an elegant but lively setting. Menu and dining listings show seafood dishes such as tuna tartare, crab cakes, crispy calamari, and scallops among the offerings.

This is one of those restaurants where I could imagine us falling happily into a familiar pattern—perhaps crab cakes or tuna tartare to start, then scallops for an entrée, with a good glass of wine and no urgency to leave. The East Bay has always done a certain kind of grown-up dining well: comfortable, attractive, and quietly assured. That is exactly how The Park Bistro felt to me. It was a lovely way to close out the trip, especially in a setting like Lafayette, where the pace encourages you to linger and savor one more evening before heading home.

An East Bay jewel. I travel to Lafayette regularly for business. There are many choices, most less expensive. The main reason I prefer The Park is that I receive excellent service from all phases of the operation. That equals value in my mind. I refer to the large suite as my home away from home. The restaurant and spa are also top notch! Make your reservations and enjoy a Park Burger.

Everything about this property is comfortable. The staff is so friendly and helpful and accommodating, the rooms are beautiful, and it is an easy place to stay in such a busy part of the East Bay!
