Great location. Loved the pond & grey heron! Good food & excellent service throughout.
Pros:

Breakfast was delicious.

Cons:

Bathroom was a little cool but nothing significant.

1st time but not the last
Pros:

Staff were so friendly, helpful and accommodating. Open fire was working, which is beautiful to see and reminded me of home. Room was super quaint.

Cons:

Dinner... i had a soup starter which was lovely and a steak main course. I asked for steak rare and the steak that came out was well done and tasted old, not fresh. The rest of the plate was delicious, but the steak was appallingly bad. Ruined the meal as it tasted like a cheap out of date rough bit of leather.

Great overnight stay and very charming and comfortable rooms.
Pros:

Very tasteful and comfortable room.
Enjoyable dinner and good wine.
Manager extremely welcoming and service very good.
Peaceful, quiet and relaxing.

Cons:

Room while very comfortable, like many hotel rooms overnight appeared warm, even though heating turned off- but minor comment.

Pleasant small hotel and rooms.
Pros:

Comfortable bed, pleasant comfy bar area with open log fire.

Cons:

Felt all a bit strict and DIY. Arrived at 20h40 and was told immediately to order food as kitchen was closed. Decided not to bother kitchen so thought I’d take a cheese platter in bar area, wasn’t allowed! Very limit bar snacks!
Room and bed was very small!
Had to work through a list of taxi firms myself, some of which were disconnected/discontinued.

The rooms and dining are beautiful, food exceptional.
Pros:

Dinner was well presented and extremely tasty.

Cons:

The staff were very young and rushed in and out of the dining area. It took a while to get served or catch an eye.

A lovely stay in a very lovely property. I would definitely stay here again.
Pros:

The room was lovely and spacious. The bed was huge and extremely comfy. Wonderful pillows. I had the duck for my evening meal, which was cooked to perfection and for breakfast (I'm not typically a breakfast person) I had possibly the best scrambled eggs ever.

A super two night stay.
Pros:

Excellent breakfast and we had a drink at the bar after arriving. Staff and owner were very attentive and efficient and made our stay for a family wedding very enjoyable. We would not hesitate to go back again.

Lovey relaxed overnight stay.
Pros:

Very friendly welcome. Cosy lounge and open fire on an autumn evening. Excellent food freshly cooked by a very good chef. Plenty of parking.
