Nothing
The can do attitude and courtesy of all the people working there.
A small refrigerator in my room.
Coffee at breakfast wasn't made to order.
Property is in a perfection location, it is just a bit dated.
Limited sockets in the bedroom and no mirror near a socket for drying hair.
Good location just off the sea front with parking. Nice place to relax.
Well unfortunately there was a kitchen ventilation fan below the window and although it was switched off overnight it could do with some sound attenuation. There was also no air conditioning but in my view it would be simple to have this retro fitted around the building.
The ambience
Nothing disabled toilet
Food was really nice. Hotel full of character. Pleasant staff, made us feel welcome.

My room was tiny and quite noisy as close to the lift
Location, food, friendliness of staff, comfort and cleanliness.
We stayed for 14 days and the menu choice for the dinner didn't change, although there was a daily 'special'.

This pretty, and beautifully located Bespoke hotel is in a blissful location. Just off the, very busy promenade of Sidmouth, set in a lovely lawned area with Sea glimpses peaking at you as you sit on the sunny patio for a refreshing summer lunch.
We were looked after so attentively by Mike, and Amanda, with a particularly scrumptious lunch. Such care was taken of our dietary requirements, which made us feel so relaxed, and very welcome.
We shall return for another visit as soon as possible.
A charming hotel. Lovely building with a beautiful lounge on the first floor. It’s old fashioned in the nicest possible way and this is reflected in their clientele. The staff are exceptional - the man who checked me in and the one behind the bar, both seemed to really enjoy their jobs and the banter with guests. This makes all the difference to the ‘customer experience’. The grounds are also very nice and you can see the sea at the end of the road.
The mattress topper didn’t fit the bed - it was a large not a standard single so it felt a bit odd - but this is a very minor niggle.
Beautiful hotel with a great history
