Pros:

Location is excellent. We did not get the type of rooms that we requested although there were rooms available my wife and I got a twin room but we were able to switch rooms. And the kids were on another floor. Rooftop is very nice. The area has some great restaurants just outside the hotel. We went for breakfast outside the hotel and it was terrific just across the street.

Cons:

On the last day before check out the cleaning staff by mistake removed took away my wife’s pyjamas. It was probably entangled in the bed Linen We talked about this with the staff at checkout and they asked me to send an email. I’ve sent two emails now and have not received a reply on how we will get our personal belongings back.

Location is very good.

Cons:

The 217 room is rather for maximum 3 stars hotel; the wardrobe I do not mind looking old, but smelling like an old piece of furniture, lingering in “I do not know what filled with mold undergroung” is too much for my nose, for my acceptance of a hotel who think is five stars.

Heartless and unwilling to help with booking changes
Pros:

We were so excited to take two 9 year old boys who was invited to FC Barca soccer camp - every boys dream! But due to visas being back logged in San Francisco, we needed to postpone our trip to October. Everyone was willing to help, Delta, FC Barca, Travel Insurance, EXCEPT HOTEL NH CALDERON. Despite numerous phone calls from 2 soccer moms and expedia, endless emails begging to change dates, they insisted we loose our booking with 100% penalty. over $5000 lost, because unwillingness to help. It says a lot ... in it for the money only!

Excellent Customer Service
Pros:

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights in April

I would personally like to thank Blanca for her exceptional service. You are doing an amazing job even when you had a very rude French guest, you kept your composure. and was very calm under pressure.

Thank you for the cake and champagne as my daughter was celebrating her birthday.

Breakfast was okay. Did not blow me away as it was the same everyday.

The roof top was amazing. Very scenic. The staff at front desk was very welcoming. The location was perfect, everything was within walking distance, loads of restaurants, local supermarkets and Metro stations.
I would stay at the NH Collection Barcelona Gran Hotel Calderon and would highly recommend to anyone who wants location, good hospitality, atmosphere, and a boutique
hotel.

Personalised five star service.
Pros:

Fantastic location. Comfortable and spacious room. Great rooftop bar, with swimming pool and excellent views of the city. Very good breakfast.
The staff were amazing, knew it was my birthday and put a small cake and champagne in the room with a card.
