Destacar El rooftop con grandes vistas, muy buen bar y ambiente debe ser de los mejores de Barcelona
Pero por lejos destaco la atención del personal del Hotel en general pero sobre todo de la Recepción (Valeria y Andres) que me ayudaron en todo momento, Isidora, Ihram y Letizia del Rooftop con una atención, calidez y preocupación de otro nivel y Gloria del restaurant, creo que hicieron la diferencia
I recently stayed at NH Collection Barcelona Gran Hotel Calderón and would like to share my experience.
First of all, I would like to give special recognition to Paula at the reception desk. She was extremely friendly, professional, and spoke excellent English. She was always approachable, sociable, and willing to help with any request or issue we had. Her customer service was truly outstanding and she made our stay much more enjoyable. My compliments and thanks to her for such excellent hospitality.
The hotel's location is also a major advantage. It is conveniently situated close to shops, restaurants, and many attractions, making it easy to explore Barcelona on foot.
The breakfast was very good, with a wide variety of options and good quality food.
However, there were a few disappointing aspects. We booked a Premium Room with Terrace, but the reality did not fully match the photos shown online. The terrace was much smaller than expected and was quite dusty during our stay. I understand that there are nearby trees and leaves can fall, but it still felt neglected. The outdoor chairs were also missing cushions, which made the terrace less comfortable.
The room itself was quite small, and the bathroom was smaller than expected for a premium category room. Storage space was limited, with only a small wardrobe and a few hangers. For a stay longer than a couple of days, it would be difficult to organize clothing and personal belongings. Another inconvenience was the lack of conveniently placed power outlets near the bed, making it difficult to charge devices.
Overall, the hotel has a great location, an excellent breakfast, and exceptional staff—especially Paula. However, considering the price paid, the room and terrace did not fully meet my expectations, and the online photos create a more spacious impression than the reality.

The rooftop pool was also much smaller than expected. Given the size and reputation of the hotel, I was surprised by how tiny it actually is. The photos create a different impression, so this was a bit disappointing.
