We checked in, had to chose breakfast the day before which I thought was a bit strange... Who knows what they fancy for breakfast the day before? Anyway we didn't know the times for breakfast, but after attending a wedding the night before, you'd think breakfast wouldn't finish at half 9 and we just missed out.
Beautiful surroundings wonderful staff and owner best place I stayed in the UK !
We booked the last available room which was a twin room. We were only here for one night. It was extremely quiet and the bed was comfortable. The property is very old and the decor is as well but it was still a pleasant stay.
We booked this as a stop over on our way home. The hotel is lovely and in a beautiful setting. However when we arrived we found that the restaurant was closed in order to prepare for a wedding the next day. We found a very good alternative nearby but wonder if it really is “a restaurant with rooms”.
The room was lovely and big but I don’t think anyone had used it in a while, cobwebs everywhere, had two spiders crawl on me in the night, the jacuzzi bath was rusty and had dirt in the bottom of it.
The duvet had a massive stain at the top, like a water or coffee stain.
I really wanted to enjoy our one night stay but unfortunately it really let us down : (
Beautiful character property. Absolutely beautiful location close to Davenport house and lovely farmland. Beautiful breakfast. Highly recommend
Great stay overnight. Clean and tidy room. Excellent breakfast.
Lovely period property in a beautiful surrounding with really nice staff. We couldn’t fault anyone we met there and the breakfast was excellent. We would deffo return here
Stay was for a birthday party at the village hall for a family member who lives in Bridgenorth. Rooms were comfortable if a little quaint reflecting the age of the property. Breakfast was served in the more modern glass conservatory. Staff were helpful polite and friendly.
Hotel facilities are looking very tired, carpets really need replacing, decor hasn’t really been touched since the 1990s, rooms initially had a musty smell so we opened the windows to let some fresh air in.
Breakfast was well prepared this morning, which was the best part of the stay.
All in all, we did feel that it was certainly an overpriced stayed for what was provided.
Beautiful hotel in lovely surroundings.
Lovely place to stay for a local wedding, the owner couldn’t have been more helpful. The room was lovely and the breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious. Would highly recommend.
What a lovely hotel. Clean, quiet, very friendly staff, and a lovely big room. The breakfast was delicious as well.
The twin room was on the small side. The en-suite was basic but clean. Saw cobwebs on the window. The tea tasted awful in our room on the first morning so the milk must have been off. It was okay the next morning. This room was probably not used very often.
Wonderful B&B, would definitely visit again
Food was very nice although came with a service charge for dinner. The bed was very comfortable, slept really well. The room however, was dated and in need updating. There seemed to be a lot of ladybirds in the bedroom and eating area. A lot of hair in the bath plug and bathroom floor, the toilet in the bedroom didn’t flush and the shower head was broken. A bit disappointing considering the price
We really enjoyed the hospitality, the food, the room. The owner and the staff were really great. We will go back.
Fantastic hotel great staff great service great room great food thank you to everybody
As soon as we arrived we were blown away with the loation as the view from the patio area is real shropshire countryside. Staff were extremely friendly and we felt relaxed and made to feel very welcome . Our room was spcipus cean and comfortable. The food is beyond average and is 5 star quality with service to match. If we ad found this place earlier we would have stayed longer.
Walking distance to where we was going.
Lovely hotel, very friendly
