This was an amazing experience: Shelly is the kindest hostess, gave the best room (because I’m tall): with a spacious shower, a luxury kingsize bed and best of all: a massage chair in the room. Soothing my exhausted muscles before a deep relaxing sleep!
It’s close to the railroad, but not too many trains passing by.
The warmth with which we were greeted. Shelly is fantastic.
Super clean, easy, relaxing…… totally come as you are kind of place was perfect for me and my cat as we’re traveling through the states. It’s close to things that you need like food, bar, gas station, convenience stores and has everything you need in the room. I stayed at some really crappy places in my travels and this one was such a treat that I decided to stay for two days and there was a thunderstorm and it was still perfect. No water got in. Electricity held on service never went out. It was amazing. Shelley was so cool. Answered all my questions when I called many many times. They expect you to be adults and take care of your stuff and they leave you alone. Welcoming, but also giving you space….it was awesome. I might even go back to Wilcox just to stay at Rose’s. I wish more places were like this to be honest. I loved it truly
This is an older Motel. Rooms are clean and well maintained. A/C, Fridge, and everything in the bathroom worked.
Kind of a nostalgic stay.
Every room has a theme ours was ocean based. Staff was friendly and quick to check-in and let me know the rules for pets. There was adequate area for them to walk and even a coffee shop next door. Everyone was friendly and we were there overnight.
This isn’t a major chain so some people might feel uncomfortable with the traffic that may speed by with loud music or shouting things. That being said I’ve been a lot of different places and was fine and found it added a unique experience to my travels.
First impression was not good. As soon as my husband and I walked into the office we were immediately scolded for having more than one person in the lobby. OK.... Odd, but whatever. Why have a lobby at all? Just put in a drive through window if you're so afraid of us.
We rented the room advertised as " Two Queens and a hot shower".
The shower was not hot. My husband took a very quick shower, then I tried to take mine. couldn't. There was no hot water left. I guess the room wasn't advertised as two queens and TWO hot showers LOL. (they also left the previous guest's used washcloth hanging over the shower curtain bar)
The room was also poorly insulated. Each time the heater turned off, the temperature would drop quickly, then the heater turn on again after only a few minutes.
This was a quaint little Motel off Interstate 10. Veteran owned and operated. His wife was so nice, she offered us homemade Beef stew for dinner. We had a great, restful stay at a great price. Will stay again.
Close to Chiricahua is why we booked this motel, but we were impressed with the owners friendliness and area highlights. The motel is older but has been tastefully revitalized! The bed was great!
Nothing
Based on the reviews we were really looking forward to our stay. The lady who checked us in was very nice, but I guess she decided to give me the worst room in the hotel - Rose's Suite. It was awful. The dirty rough carpet was covered under the bed area by a dirty, wrinkled blanket. I didn't even dare look under to see what it was covering. There was no way I would walk across the room even once in my bare feet in this room. A lot of other things were dirty as well. I'm not a picky traveler, but this room was seriously gross. Please see photos I attached.
Our friend's room was nice on the surface (hard floor, not dirty), but they said they could literally feel the springs through the mattress when they were sleeping. It was so bad they said they might take our dirty floor over their worn out bed. At least our bed was ok.
Never, never again. My boyfriend and friends didn't believe Rose's had the reviews I told them it had until they looked it up. We were all shaking our heads. I hate to give a bad review ever let alone to a small business, but I have never stayed in a room so awful in a motel with a 4.4 on Tripadvisor.
Also we paid $140 for this room. It would have been bad at half the price.
Room 111
Nasty- overpriced old run down motel that for some insane reason has good reviews!
When a roach fell out of the ceiling vent onto the toilet we high tailed it out of there as fast as we could and lost the 118 we paid for the second night.
Room 111 nasty
Everything
very comfortable and staff friendly
CHECK out the photos please.
This place was NASTY. We left after one horrible night.
Paid for 2.
Owner Scott ignored our refund request through booking.com.
Also on Booking it is 92 for a night but our second night we booked through them and it was 118.
We saw all good reviews for this but it doesnt make sense.
Room 111 is NASTY.
Older but very nice. Stafford very friendly and helpful.
The owner, Shelly, has a great dry sense of humor. Wilcox is easy to get around in for gas, groceries, and fast food. I couldn't tell you if the beds were comfortable or not. I just know we slept well.
The room was quiet and clean. The Dish television service offered many good choices. Shelly was terrific at check-in and provided a good restaurant referral.
The mattress wasn't comfortable.
Location was quite good, away from the noisy interstate, and easy to find
The hot shower was very hot, it was best to adjust by running the cold first, then adding the hot to a comfortable level.
