We had front row seats to watch the fireworks from our 6th floor room overlooking the river and Reds Stadium. The water pressure was great in the shower. Beds were very comfortable. Good breakfast for a hotel.

Cons:

I asked for connecting rooms (my son had a medical condition). If we couldn't get connecting rooms, I asked for the rooms to be close. The hotel never read the request I made on Booking.com until I said I asked for the rooms to be together. My room was on the 6th floor and my son's room was on the 3rd floor. They said they were completely booked & wouldn't move us to the same floor. They charged us $10 to park. The staff didn't care that we didn't have rooms together. They made no attempt for accommodation. The police were outside my son's room with guns drawn going after some teens on the property across the street. Typical inner city activity. Would I recommend this hotel? No

To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing regarding our recent stay on Mother’s Day weekend at the Hampton Inn & Suites and the extremely disappointing experience we had from check-in through our removal from the property.

We had a reservation and were originally told we would be accommodated with an early check-in. (2-2:30 pm). Unfortunately, that did not happen. We were then informed by Ajatara that we would need to wait until 4:00 PM to confirm whether the room type we paid for would be available because the room that was ready at that time was NOT what we had reserved. However, no one ever contacted us as promised. When customer called back to front desk for updates, Ajatara stated with much attitude that she had been on her break, not having any other staff to follow up in her absence.

When we called the front desk around 4:20 PM to follow up, the employee (Ajatara) whom we spoke with had an unprofessional and confrontational attitude. When a few minutes later upon arriving at the front desk in-person hoping to checked-in, even worse behavior continued towards us especially by staff “Sal” in particular and again, front desk clerk, Ajatara.

At one point during the interaction, we were “threatened” with losing our reservation entirely (“Sal”)and being removed from the property with having no threatening comments or physical contact from us towards any of them. Eventually, after about 45 minutes or something with things having appeared to have calmed down and we believed the matter had been resolved because now having been given keys to our corrected room type, police officers were escorted to one of our party’s room by the front desk staff Ajatara and another person (Chamia) in whom this unknown individual we had previously never seen at all, nor ever encountered before, but now acting as spokesperson in the matter, rudely informing that we had to leave the hotel for having had “attitude”.

We was lied to about the view of room. Booking.com cost me alot of money for nothing. Drove 3hrs to not even stay.

Pros:

They accomodated an early breakfast for the Flying Pig marathon

Cons:

Location was perfect for the race. We ran right past it at mile 1, so we were able to drop our warmer clothes needed before the start.

Plan to return again
Pros:

Our family to visit the Ark Encounter and decided to stay an additional day and was able to book a room for the night last minute. The room was clean, staff was polite and friendly. The hotel was walking distance to food, entertainment and shopping. Directly across from stadium & Aquarium
