A lovely hotel in a superb location on the seafront. Friendly staff with a great lounge area, bar and garden all overlooking the beach. The restaurant for both breakfast evening meal was superb, highly recommend.
Due to the heatwave the rooms were very hot, please take your own fan as they are not supplied.
Lovely my hotel with top quality staff, who deliver excellent customer service.
I was generally disappointed with the hotel room we were allocated “superior room” as the lack of a safe, fridge and the general decor were lacking.
I would thoroughly recommend Paying for parking allocation, as parking is limited!
Overall we enjoyed our stay & feel if the room was updated I would have rated this higher.
Its location, the friendly staff, the fact it had a lift. Service was good and the breakfast fresh and tasty.
Modern clean and comfortable
Nothing
Location, cleanliness, friendly staff excellent breakfast
Nothing
Excellent breakfast lots of choice.
We stayed during the heatwave so without air conditioning it was rather uncomfortable
Air conditioning
Clean and comfortable. Excellent friendly staff.
Lack of onside parking
We had a super sea view room - no 18. It was spotless clean and had a beautiful view of Criccieth bay.
It was great to see the update as I last stayed here in the 1950/60s !!
The hotel would benefit from a better entrance.
The staff are all friendly and very helpful.
We thoroughly enjoyed our three nights.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel. We have stayed there previously but the makeover has added to the experience. The staff were extremely helpful, and they took customer care to another level. We stayed two nights in a superior room, and two nights in an executive room. Both were sea facing. The views were to die for.
My only constructive criticism would be lack of tissue box,and shortage of toiletries. We shall return.Diolch yn fawr.
We really enjoyed our stay. We had a sea view room which was very comfortable with a glorious view. As always the staff were wonderful and the food very good especially the breakfasts. I cannot fault the Caerwylan, everything about this hotel is quality.
This is an absolutely wonderful hotel in a stunning location. The rooms are beautifully furnished and everything is immaculate. This was our second visit and we are already planning a third.
The location is superb. I love going swimming and you can just do it any time you want and go back to your room for a shower. The view . The parking
There was a weird plastic smell like an old fashioned plastic tablecloth and it was hot in the room
Good breakfast lovely location
Parking was a bit awkward
Superb location with great views. Hotel fully refurbished. Very helpful reception staff. Only thing missing in room was a box of facial tissues. Expensive for a full sea view but well worth it.
Executive suite view is stunning. Very comfortable rooms; plentiful hot water but we found the showers slightly too powerful. Extremely friendly, welcoming staff both in reception, housekeeping and restaurant.
Just 2 suggestions:
- more sunshades in garden (we were there in a heatwave - yes, in Wales!)
- a reminder to guests to close the quaint lift doors after use. I had to chase it up/down floors several times for my sister with mobility issues.
Had a wonderful , relaxing stay in a charming hotel in a beautiful location.
Thnk you to all the team.
Very comfortable stay. Despite the heat wave. Beautifully clean and well appointed . Staff all very welcoming and friendly. Look forward to visiting again.
very happy with breakfast, would assume all produce were locally sourced, all very tasty.
Bonus that it was cooked to each individual person.
Our only negative would be, we stayed while the weather was extreme heat but you had no air-con in rooms , we were
on the top floor so a little uncomfortable + not enough umbrellas in the garden area for us to enjoy a drink.
Enjoyable stay, hotel needs to rethink about air-con.
