Dinner
Staff were friendly and efficient
Full Welsh breakfast was good. However the avocado, eggs and toast was disappointing because of the mean amount of avocado and only one piece of toast. Huge contrast between the two breakfasts.
Pillows were in urgent need of replacement, very uncomfortable.
Excellent service, food, and friendly staff.
What a fantastic experience …Again- the service is top notch, the staff led by Laura are articulate and are always attentive. Francis & Michael are the consummate hosts and run a lovely hotel- the best in our opinion but we have only being coming here for 23 years so we could be wrong! You won’t be disappointed, we never are.
Superb food and superb team , would recommend to everyone
As always the hotel was excellent as were the staff with some familiar faces from years ago. The food was excellent and we were joined by family members as non residents who enjoyed the food last time also. The location overlooking the beach and Criccieth castle is stunning. We paid extra this visit for a superior room with a lovely bay window overlooking the castle which I can recommend.
The room was modern with a lovely powerful shower. There are no accessible rooms so not suitable for some guests who require those facilities.
Criccieth is a small quieter holiday town but has beautiful beaches and excellent scenic walks. Plenty of small local shop
Our room was very modern, had everything we needed and the bed was comfortable. The staff were absolutely lovely, breakfast was very good. The website mentions parking so bare that in mind - the road to the hotel is very narrow but does have free parking if needed. We were on the top floor with a side view of the castle, beach and the railway line which was perfect for us. We loved the lift.
Nothing - very good all round!
Great Hotel with wonderful staff, nice bedrooms, lovely restaurant and in a great location. Stayed 5 nights and loved every minute. Would definitely recommend.
Our third visit to this lovely hotel. As usual our room was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The view from the large bay window is stunning, we love to just sit and look! Large comfy bed, plenty of storage, well appointed bathroom with great power shower. Breakfast is excellent, plenty of choice and freshly cooked.
The staff are so friendly and helpful, always happy to chat.
Before we left after our long weekend we booked for another visit - can't wait to return.
The staff (especially the lady on reception) were excellent. The hotel was clean and comfortable and a great find. Would definitely stay again when I am in the area
The customer service was excellent and the restaurant food was good quality and value for money .
Staff were excellent
No view just the railway line . Trains stopped about 22.00 so not too disruptive
Beautiful hotel with views of the sea and the castle.
Rooms very clean and well equipped.
Staff very friendly and food excellent.will definitely recommend.
Stayed at the Caerwylan many times and are always made to feel very welcome. The staff are all friendly and helpful and the hotel has great views of the sea and castle. Always spotless warm and comfortable. Breakfast is very good with lots of choices to suit everyone. We enjoy every minute of every stay.
Excellent position on seafront with view of sea, mountains and castle. Comfortable spacious room with all that we required for our stay. Comfortable lounge/bar with sea view also.
Hotel carpark nearby at extra charge which we used.
Also excellent hotel restaurant for delicious breakfast and evening meals
The only thing l didn't like was the lift- quite hard to open and close doorsl8ft

Stayed for two nights for my Wife’s birthday and the hotel was wonderful. Fabulous location - we had a room overlooking the sea and the castle - and excellent service throughout our stay. We had a meal in the restaurant and the food was great. We will definitely be going back to the Caerwylan!
As usual a lovely stay - friendly staff, great views and comfortable rooms. Breakfast and dinner in the Tonneau restaurant is a must. Definitely will be coming back.
Definitely worth eating in The Tonneau restaurant - food always beautifully cooked and served with a smile.
Nothing!
Breakfast was good. Staff accommodated all requests including keeping my oak drink in the fridge and then followed up if I was allergic etc to dairy…..I’m not just prefer oak drink in my coffee !
Little niggles like paying extra for parking and being chased about not checking out on time
