Another Great Visit
Pros:

I stayed one night while in the area on business. The hotel never missed and this was the case again this visit. Everyone was very friendly. The lobby was clean. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. I like that you don’t hear your neighbors during the stay. The restaurant is always good as well. No complaints

A decent airport hotel with nice views.
Pros:

My wife and I stayed here for two nights while on a weekend getaway to San Diego. We picked the hotel primarily because it was the cheapest Hilton property available for the weekend. We were upgraded to a higher floor with a view of the marina, which meant we got the early morning sun and views over the marina to the airport.

The room itself was nothing special. It was clean, but could have been cleaner. The safe didn't work. There was only a single coffee cup, so we ended up using the glass tumblers for coffee. Housekeeping didn't stop by so we came back on Saturday to an unmade room. Reception arranged for clean towels, coffee etc. which was delivered while we were out to dinner. We used our digital keys for the room but found it wouldn't open the gate to the pool. Another guest had the same issue so it seems as if you need a physical key, but just for that lock.

We ate in the restaurant on Friday night. The menu is compact with not a massive amount of choice. We ordered sliders and wings. Both were surprisingly good, and certainly better than we expected. The only bizarre part of the meal was that the buffalo sauce (for the wings) came in a dessert bowl. There was way too much. That aside, the wings were piping hot and a decent size. The slider buns were toasted, and the patties were still slightly pink. The fries were fresh, hot and crispy. As I say, surprisingly good. Service was friendly and efficient.

We had breakfast on Saturday morning too. We shared a breakfast burrito which was really good - freshly prepared, hot, and a decent size. Our server was super friendly and attentive and we felt well looked after. If you don't fancy a full breakfast there's a coffee bar adjacent to the lobby. We had coffees and pastries on Sunday morning and sat on our balcony and watched the world go by. Oh, and the planes landing and taking off from the airport.

The hotel is on Harbor Island and although it's nice to take a stroll along the peninsula there's not a lot else nearby. We made use of the free shuttle when we were heading back to the airport. It runs on demand and it's a 5 minute ride.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this Hilton hotel. At a little over $600 for two nights plus dinner, breakfast, and coffees it's not exactly cheap - but it's San Diego and probably still good value for money. The hotel needs a little bit of TLC but we'd stay again. It's away from the hustle and bustle of downtown, and has good views over the marina and the bay.

An SNL Skit Hilton Harbor Island
Pros:

So far it's a 1 star. After an 8hr trip from East Coast, I checked in with my wife and daughter. I asked for water as a Gold Member. They said, no! It is in the room. I asked nicely for 2 more bottles because my daughter was with us. The receptionist at front desk told me to call housekeeping. I entered the room, called housekeeping and the same receptionist answered and stated housekeeping isn't available during the weekend. My wife, daughter and I laughed, we felt as if this was an SNL skit. I was irritated and the manager told me to come down and buy my bottles! Aside from the view, the room is dirty and staff is unfriendly.

Ugh
Pros:

Terrible from top to bottom. Beware of added parking fees only charged when leaving. Beware of the awful check-in pull through area. Room was dilapidated and horribly maintained.
