Unsatisfied.
Pros:

The hotel is located in a great area for exploring and great for cruise ship vacations. But, their prices are high and were arbitrarily lowered the day of our stay, but after our cacellation period, so we couldn't cancel and rebook at the lower rate. Also, the shower tile needed bleaching.

Lives up to it's reputation, great location - excellent service.
Pros:

Location near Circular Quay is great - really close to public transport, restaurants, main attractions and the Opera House. Room was very clean and comfortable. Had a nice view of the bridge. Room was quiet and had all the amenities I needed, such as a fridge. The bathroom was surprisingly spacious and the toiletries provided were high-quality. Staff were extremely helpful and polite. I was very impressed by the service.

Cons:

Not much. The phone in my room didn't work so I had to call reception from my mobile. I had breakfast included in my rate, but I wouldn't pay for the buffet. There are cafes nearby, the food choice was good, but not worth paying that much money (I think it's about $60).

Pleasant because of location (Level 28, Opera House and Harbour view), a pleasure to return to the hotel at night after

Location - Circular Quay, Opera House, Botanical Gardens, Ferry centre, pubs, bars, restaurants, coffee shops - all very close and easily accessed

Cons:

The property badly needs updating - the TV system is 10 years outdated, not intuitive to use, grossly limited in available channels (eg no BBC, CNN, Al Jazeera, Bloomberg etc); no in-house movie facility.
The in-room coffee system did not work, the capsule is crushed but did not open therefore no coffee joined the dripping water.
No biscuits in room.
No mini-bar (can order it from room service)
Bathroom is old - toilet paper roll is under a cupboard and not visible, a sign is on the cupboard to reveal where it is
The toilet seat and lid drop down sharply, not slowly as in modern facilities

Superb location with fabulous amenities
Pros:

Superb location near Circular Quay for easy access to some events at the Sydney Opera House and airport train. Impeccable service, my room was even ready early before check-in. Free wifi, spacious room with plenty of amenities including a table with chairs as well as 2 thin-line recliners (great for reading and putting the feet up). Enormous shower cubicle and plenty of bench space in the bathroom for toiletries! Didn't use room service or eat breakfast - went out to enjoy Sydney instead. Would definitely splurge to stay again!
