I’ve stayed at a few different hotels in Costa Rica, but Vista Canyon Inn stands out as the absolute best. From the moment I arrived, the experience was smooth, relaxing, and incredibly welcoming. The staff was so accommodating—always friendly and ready to help with anything I needed. The atmosphere was peaceful and perfect for unwinding, whether by the pool or just enjoying the beautiful surroundings. I truly had a wonderful experience and can’t recommend this place enough. I’ll definitely be coming back! Also the most amazing views!

Beautiful property! Right outside the city so you get to enjoy the views and the sound of nature of Costa Rica. Staff was very friendly, accommodating, and readily available. I will definitely be returning and recommending this beautiful hotel

The property itself is very cleaned with beautiful garden, great view of the canyon and great staff. The street leading to the hotel has several empty lots full of trash. It is not advisable to walk at night. The hotel has no dining. There is a restaurant on the main road not too far from the hotel, but the menu is very limited and the food is average. This place is good for one or 2 nights.

This is a beautiful property on the outskirts overlooking the city and you won’t regret staying here because it’s absolutely gorgeous & the service is wonderful. Very gracious, nice people and very good vibes.

We were only at this location for one day and we were very sad to leave - the property was amazing, service, and food. It was so welcoming and a great first stop on our vacation. We would absolutely go back to this B&B again.

This place is a gem away from the bustling center but still an easy ride to airport and other parts of San Jose . Serene beautiful property with Great Amenities! Best Massage I’ve Ever Had in my Life! Highly Recommended!

Everything was outstanding. The room was immaculate and I loved the paintings on the walls. Breakfast was delicious with a Costa Rican flair. I went swimming in the outdoor pool which was warm and so inviting. The outdoor dining room allowed me time to take in the view of the canyon as well as the birds. Everyone was very friendly and even the owners were very hospitable. I highly recommend the Vista Canyon Inn over any traditional hotel if you want a relaxed inviting place to stay.

Small boutique-like inn, located in a neighborhood. The staff were wonderful, breakfast very good. Pool is small, water warm. Rooms are nothing fancy, air conditioning units are noisy so bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. Owner lives on the property, not super engaging, just wants to play retired. 😊. Paola was very helpful, a gem of an employee. Outdoor seating is nice, overall a nice stay.

Nice, homely property to make for a pleasant stay. I love that it’s far enough away from downtown San Jose that’s it’s not as congested and yet, close enough to get to where you need to get to quickly. The property itself has nice amenities, pool, hot tub, stocked kitchen, breathtaking views and is well maintained by the owner & staff. The fresh cooked daily breakfast was simply amazing!

Room was decent but a bit uncomfortable IMO. The mini-split functioned well so temperature wasn’ta problem. I’m ok with the fact that the room itself was bite-sized but a few other factors made sleeping a bit uncomfortable. The pillows were uncomfortably soft to me. Had to put a decorative pillow underneath it for support. We had unruly neighbors at one point that played TV or talked loud at certain points of the night which could be clearly heard or turned the light right outside of our rooms on which is bright enough to wake up a light sleeper like myself. Nothing major, just minor gripes. Otherwise, I enjoyed my stay.
