Pros:

My money is stuck at PayPal, so I have no access to cash until the next business day. So I paid the hotel online, there's no mention of a deposit or early check-in fees. So I thought I was good to go. I realized that I left my ID at the last hotel. When I checked in, which was only 30 mins shy from check-in time at 2 PM, the lady asked for an extra Rp 20k early check-in fee, and Rp 100k deposit, which was not mentioned when I paid, she said I can give her my ID if I don't want to pay the deposit, so I asked if I could put my stuff in the room while I picked up my ID, but the lady who checked me in insisted that I couldn't check-in, even though it was only my stuff and I have already paid. She demanded that I pay the early check in fee.

I said I can't just let my stuff to be out in the open, my laptop, etc r too valuable compared to the money they're asking. Eventually, she gave me the key because she 'felt sorry' for me. Then, I gave her 50k as deposit instead. I thought that was it.

When I checked out, the guy who checked me out told me that they had to deduct 20k because of the early check-in. I explained what happened, and if I knew I would have to pay I would wait. I told him I don't care anymore, but the guy was nice enough to give me the whole deposit. However, when the guy left, that lady came downstairs and confronted me about the early check-in fee and demanded that I paid. It was very uncomfortable and awkward. Very inflexible. Room was OK but not laptop friendly
