Pros:

The bed is comphy. Room is clean. Pillows are soft and not too high. Shampoo and conditioner smell good.

Cons:

I've deliberately asked for a quite room cuz I'm a light sleeper. I was given a connected room, means there is a door opening to another room. The guests at the connected room had 2 loud kids. I think connected rooms have less acoustic isolation because of the opening at the door. That's my only comment..

Beautiful hotel in the middle of Canadian history.
Pros:

Beautiful hotel right across from Confederation park. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and the entire hotel was clean. Lobby was being renovated, and the renovation area was clean and the contractors working was quite friendly. All the staff, including those working the valet service were friendly and approachable.

A comfortable experience
Pros:

It is a very comfortable experience here. The room is cleaned every day very nicely and quickly. The corridor and lobby hall are both quiet and warm. The working staff are very friendly. Every time when I meet them, they show warm greetings and nice smile. The swimming pool and hot tub are good as well. If there is a little bit exception that made me not really very comfortable, maybe it is the quilt that cannot cover me tenderly and the quilt-cover seems not to wrap its content so well that I can wake sometimes at night to sense the separating quilt-cover.

Valentine-WInterlude Getaway
Pros:

Valentines/Winterlude weekend stay. The Lord Elgin is the best place to stay, for the location and the hotel amenities. The people there are wonderful, thoughtful, and treat you more like family, than a customer. The restaurant (Forty-one) has great food, and superb service. The Ice sculptures and Rideau Canal are only steps away, across the street. Sparks street only a few blocks up Elgin, and Parliment is only a few steps past that, as is the War memorial. The Lord Elgin is in the heart of all that Ottawa has to offer.
The Staff is simply the best from start to finish!!
