Fabulous views! Spectacular bird watching. Incredible place!!

Beautiful place would go back to her again. The Host s are very nice people excellent breakfast.

Booked 3 bungalows for 2 nights based on available reviews.

Arrival - no signage indicating reception or check-in office

Parking is VERY limited and not paved, dragging suitcases through grass and mud to the paved path is not ideal especially after a local thunderstorm.

Followed the path down to an open kitchen where we were greeted by a barking dog and a women. Check in was very quick and easy. The host walked us to our bungalows and gave us keys, explained the simple rooms which consisted of a lounge couch, king size bed, small coffee table, bathroom with double sink and a credenza at the foot of the bed with a small fridge.

Her departing message was that ALL toilet paper goes in the garbage can in the bathroom, nothing down the toilet. Wait, What!? How is this not stated!? Not online, not in a single review even.

We had done waterfall repelling and canyoning earlier in the day, we were drenched, tired and hungry. A hot shower was warranted for all of us.

All 3 bungalows had very poor water pressure, luke warm water at best and ours had an extremely slow drain!

Bathroom sinks are missing the screens so water sprays out drenching your midsection when turned on.

The complimentary soap was covered in mold inside and out as was the pull down shade between the bathroom and bedroom. Towels were originally white but were now a dingy yellow.

The bungalows have no a/c so the doors are intended to stay open. Unfortunately, the screens are in poor condition and allows plenty of opportunities for all the insects to join you in your room.

Nearby bungalows lights shine right into the rooms - even with the curtains closed. Having a guest forget to turn off their porch light provides a sleepless night for the neighboring guest.

Barking dog (in a no animals hotel) struck again from 5:30 to 6:30 am. We did not stick around for the complimentary breakfast and decided to not even stay the second night we had prepaid for.

I do not understand the value in reviews that are not honest and detailed. The 10/10 excellent reviews posted online are very misleading and not forthcoming.

The view is definitely 10/10 but I can not in good faith recommend these accommodations for the money $$$

The host was very hospitable and made our stay good

Rooms are clean and love the view

Breakfast was excellent and was made for us gluten free

Oatmeal parfait w fruit
Mango and mint smoothie
Tasty local cafe

Anna was great! The room had a gorgeous view. We received breakfast every morning which was delicious. I would definitely recommend for anyone who was peace and quiet during their stay in Costa Rica!

Outstanding service, food, and accommodations…..oh and the view is exceptional!

Unique place to stay, sensational uninterrupted views over Lake Arenal. Wake up to the sound of howler monkeys in the trees outside and sit on your deck in the evening watching flocks of parrots. We stayed in Pod 1 - recommend as has trees closest so you can see the birds right next to you. Amazing hosts Ana and Bastien, immaculate cleaning and care and attention to your guest experience is evident in all the thoughtful touches. Delicious breakfasts and Ana will also cook you dinner on request (highly recommend). 3 local restaurants within walking distance, however car is essential to reach activites (do not miss the Venado Caverns!)

We had a great experience! Hosts went above and beyond. Would highly recommend this hotel but make sure you have a rental car as it’s far

The property was absolutely beautiful and peacefully quiet. The resort overlooked a stunning lake, making for a breathtaking view. While it may not be the most kid-friendly spot, the owner’s friendly cats kept my little ones entertained! The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, making our stay even more enjoyable! 🐒

The view is absolutely amazing and we loved the little secluded bungalow. The owners are so friendly and informative. The breakfast is amazing, it’s a 4 course meal and different each day. You start with a parfait, then a specialty pancake, the main course is eggs and a specialty side (empanadas, etc.) and then juice, definitely fills you up for an adventurous hike. I would definitely recommend this place. Almost forgot you have a special wake up call from the howler monkeys around 5:15 a.m.

Little slice of paradise. Views are immaculate and the vibes are relaxed. Far enough from the touristy areas to feel authentic but close enough to the sights to reasonably do it all. Breakfast service was divine and a nice way to start the day off. Lack of AC not an issue at all, even when the temperature looks high because the breeze and shade make for ideal temperatures. We loved our stay and would recommend to any couple looking for a heightened experience in Arenal.

We spent 5 days here. If we ever come back to the area, I would definitely stay here again. It is very quiet and beautiful here. The view of the lake and surrounding is incredible. Host is super friendly and informative. Breakfast is delicious. Service is great! A 10 all around.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The panoramic view of Lake Arenal is amazing and can be enjoyed from the bed, the sitting area, or the deck. Ana and her staff served the most delicious breakfast each morning. The room was very comfortable and was nicely made up each day while we were out exploring.

There are a few restaurants and small shops within walking distance, down a dirt road at the bottom of the hill. We rented a car at the airport in San Jose, and I think it might be tricky to get around without one as this is a fairly remote spot (in a good way).

La Fortuna is about a 40 minute drive away; we explored the town, visited the Tabacon hot springs (there are many others depending on your tastes), and did excursions to the Mistico hanging bridges, La Fortuna Waterfall, and Arenal Volcano lava fields.

Highly recommend for anyone looking for a scenic, private, peaceful and welcoming spot (and some amazing food) away from the commotion of town.

The morning breakfast was always amazing, the staff cleaned our room everyday and set everything in order, even organizing our things together so they didn’t go missing! The view is absolutely gorgeous
