Very good hotel
Pros:

The hotel is situated at a walking distance from the western group of temples. We found the rooms to be very spacious and clean. It also offers good view of the lake beside the temple complex. The staffs were co-operative and well behaved. However there is no lift facility in this hotel. Overall, it's a good stay in its price range.

Not recommend the hotel for cheater receptionist
Pros:

Position: this hotel is second hotel just beside the gate of the western group of temple.
Foods: are excellent in taste and quality and it has a good restaurant also.
Rooms: are clean and spacious. They supply hot and cold water through tap in the morning.
Service: is worst due to insufficient stuffs.
Parking place: may be available within the Western Group of temple area (150 met away from the hotel) or at the bus stand (500 met away from the hotel). Contact one, Mr. Gaffar for parking your car at bus stand.
Major drawback: is its reception. We had to face unnecessary problems.
1. I had booked the room online atleast 2 months ago from the date of stay. On check in, I felt that he received cleartrip voucher first time in his life with enquiring whether the payment was received by the hotel or not. After calling to the customer care, they confirmed me that the payment was received by the hotel.
2. He advised us to book advance bus tickets for returning to Satna (from Khajuraho bus stand, departed at 3:00 PM) and asked for Rs.200.00 per ticket, but actual fare on that bus was Rs.120.00.
3. As per rule of hotel Shanti, it imposed service tax for room service only. We took our every food at their restaurant, but they charged service tax for dinner bill and surprisingly, not for launch bill.
4. As per clear trip voucher, check out time was 12:00 pm, but hotel’s check out time is 10:00 am.

Not luxurious, clean, spacious and enough for my purpose
Pros:

I was looking for a basic hotel to spend the night. As the light show was supposed to be on till 8.30, what I wanted was a place clean to have a good sleep till morning. The other conditions were being closer to the western group of temples, clean bed linen, clean toilet and a clean bathroom. This was found in Shanti. The bathroom was very much better than I expected. Toilet was clean and pleasant. More importantly the flush was working and never needed a bucketful of water . The room was spacious. The bed was not the most comfortable , but was a twin. I do not complain as compared to the price I paid. TV was an additional item that I used for about 30 minutes in the morning. Bed linen was clean though I was ready with my own linen for executing the plan B. I did not use their restaurant as such cannot comment on food and services. The staff was not so much friendly . They were not intrusive either .Staff was responsive when specific questions were asked. The guy at the reception helped me with train timetables, how to plan the bus journey and also planing with the sight seeing at my request though. He got me an auto to get back to the railway station too. It was the off season. so I was not troubled with other tourists. It was not luxury but the hotel was pleasant. If I go back alone and not with the family definitely stay there. Staff need to be more concerned about maintaining little things , then they can give a better service than what is being given right now. I was happy with the facility for the meagre amount I paid. I get the feeling that I would have lowered the price in a more tight bargaining. But no regrets with the rate charged given the fact that you need to maintain the place and pay the staff. So if you are good at bargaining, definitely you may go for a very very cheap rate and by the other comments, it sounds as if that is not difficult.

As Basic As It Gets
Pros:

It can't get any more basic than this. You get a floor, four walls and a ceiling - so to speak! What's in the room is tangible and and yours. Forget intangibles like service - staff are self absorbed and busy with themselves. Just stay here for a place to sleep and that's all.

Nice and Clean...Value for money
Pros:

This hotel is situated right in the heart of the Khajuraho city. It is opposite the Shiv Sagar lake and see the western temples from the balcony of the hotel.

We stayed in the first floor of the hotel and the room was near the hotel restaurant. We went during the Dec so did not require AC rooms. The rooms in the ground floor and basement do have AC rooms too. The room rates are not fixed do bargain and they will give you a good discount.

The room that we stayed in were big and had a hot water supply from morning 7 to 10 AM and then 7PM to 10PM in the night. You need to ask the hotel reception to change the bed sheets everyday. The bathroom are clean.

This is a basic hotel so do not expect any luxury.

Good hotel, wonderful location!
Pros:

I stay here a week back and found it a really good place to stay in terms of cleanliness, the deal, the location and the service. Its a small walk away from the Western group of temples (which you can see from the hotel's restaurant balcony). Because of this hotel's location we could make it to the light and sound show in the temple complex in the evening (6.30pm to 7.30pm - english show and 7.40pm onwards - hindi show). We were picked up from the station and were taken care of well. Food is also good in the restaurant!

i like it
Pros:

it's a good hotel good service Excellent Management, I took a double room way at the back with a large window overlooking the garden and a field. It was heaven waking to birdsong in the morning instead of traffic noise. This was the cleanest hotel and best value yet of my two weeks in India, the bathroom tiles actually shined and I was given Soap for the first time! There was loud voices of staff early in the morning so if sleeping in is important, beware, however it wasn't an issue for me. I became sick for 4 days after eating at Blue Sky restaurant so I was very happy to have this nice room to recover as I spent the most part of 4 days inside. I paid 600 INR for my room so bargain!

Don't stay here unless you enjoy being lied to, ripped off and disrespected.
Pros:

This was one of my most blood boiling experiences throughout my travels in India. I was ripped off: charged a higher price than was quoted, forced to prepay, and was lied to. The manager organised another room for me for the second night in another affiliated hotel (since this one was miraculously booked out) and told me a price that I later found out was not the true price. The other hotel was HOTEL COTTAGE KRISHNA. I had no hot water shower IN EITHER HOTEL ROOM as was promised, and was given no discount and no apology.

Highly satisfied with the Hotel - Worth all your money
Pros:

This hotel is right in front of the main Shiv Sagar Lake in Khajuraho and is located in the main center of the small city.I found this hotel to be one of the best hotels during my stay because of the spacious rooms and well maintained washrooms. The washroom is a little big than the other hotels nearby and is also very well cleaned & maintained.
We found the service to be very quick & effective. The staff were quite couteous & helpful. We visited this place in Jan 09 and the hotel costed us 300 rupees for 1 night which was quite worthy in terms of room space & service.
I highly recommend this hotel to all the tourists who wants a descent accomodation in lowest price. Try to negotiate the hotel rates as much as you can.

Food Joints:

Raja Cafe - All cusines.
Mediterrano - Italian Cusine. (Try the thin crust Pizzas)

Roaming Around:

Raneh Falls
Western group of temples
Eastern group of temples
Southern group of temples
Pandav falls
Panna National Park.
Rajnagar Fort

Hotel worth to stay
Pros:

Well his hotel is worth your money. The food especially the dinner was good but the room service needs to be improved. The rooms and toilets were kept very clean. Breakfast was complimentary.
Overall I enjoyed my stay in this hotel.
