Needed a room before an early morning flight. This suited just fine. Price was right. Don’t expect anything fancy but it did have a full size fridge if you need one.
Ubicación
The room had a very bad ant problem andvthe hotel had a homeless camp behind it right outside our window also no water in the hotbtub im not sure how this place has such high ratings...
Security. Being able to cook fresh food
Some of the people were not nice, it says free breakfast but all that is offered is sugary oatmeal or cereal bars.
We didn’t stay and Ive been trying to get a refund . There was blood driplets in multiple spots on my bathroom floor. Bathroom mirror was clearly dirty with toothpaste or some white substance, and the sheets were dingy with holes. As soon as I got down to let front desk, letting them know I won’t be staying he said “how bad is it” even he knew the hotel was no good.
Staff was nice the free coffee in the morning was a nice touch.
The walls are paper thin I could hear every little thing going on in the hallway and the room behind the bed. The shower floor was nasty and obviously uncleaned.
Property was easy to locate yet private enough ugh that we didn’t have to worry about smash and grab problems
Very…..old and sterile. Comfort was not a key focus of the property. While clean, the covering was peeling off the chair. The mattress was encased in a waterproof cover. There were burn marks on the very old laminate counter. Everything worked but. Old. There was an alarm going off periodically that had remained unrepaired for a month. I get that the purpose of the property is a little different yet, everything speaks of poorly maintained. Not what I expect from any kind of hotel type stay. While it was adequate, it had enough of a creepy feel that I would not stay again.
They took us in and made sure our accommodations were up to our standards as we had a horrible experience from another stay.
Nothing, everything was great.
There was no one at the desk, for over 20 minutes, I rang the bell, with no service. I finally left and went next door, where not only did I get a cheaper room, but there weren't a bunch of transient hanging around.
Everything
Clean, allowed dogs, quiet. Super great front desk/management.
Lots of smokers regularly sitting outside the entrance and only very unhealthy breakfast/snack available.
This was our first time visiting Portland, Oregon, and we booked 2 nights at the Extended Stay America Suites hoping for a comfortable place to rest before hiking to see the local waterfalls. Unfortunately, our experience on the first night was extremely concerning, unsafe, and far below acceptable standards.
When we arrived, there was a person inside the garbage dumpster, digging through it and throwing items out. As I walked my dog, several individuals around the property were behaving erratically, appearing to be under the influence of illegal substances and staring blankly into the air. Inside the building, another person was talking to the vending machine and staring at it as if it had offended them. We tried to ignore the behavior, but it immediately made us feel unsafe.
When we entered our room, the conditions were unacceptable.
• The room had a strong, unpleasant odor.
• The bathroom towels were yellow and visibly unclean.
• The bedsheets also had yellow stains, suggesting they had not been washed.
• I requested an extra pillow, and the pillow provided was yellowed and appeared molded.
Later that night, the guests above us began moving furniture repeatedly for over an hour. The noise was constant and disruptive, and it made us question how much furniture a hotel room could possibly contain. Combined with the hallway noise and the unsafe environment outside, we were unable to rest.
The next morning, a group of people were surrounding my car and smoking, adding to the discomfort and safety concerns. Because of the lack of sleep, the hike we planned became exhausting, and we did not feel safe returning to the hotel for a second night. We decided to leave early and not stay the additional night we had booked.
Overall, the stay did not feel safe, clean, or welcoming, and the conditions were far below what any guest should experience.
Staff was nice and courteous
