Vagabond Inn Executive Old Town

Room was clean and suitable for a night passing through Sacramento.

I was prepared to give more stars because the room was super clean and comfortable, but I immediately noticed there was a privacy issue. There is a transom above the door where the line-of-sight is from the bathroom area to the hotel across the street. Also, the curtains have a huge gap in them and anyone standing outside the room can look in and see the reflection in the mirror to the bathroom area. With the lights on at night, the room is not private at all. And although there is next to no noise from the other rooms next door and above (which is amazing) there was a lot of noise from outside; traffic noise from the freeway never stopped and construction noise from the building next door was very loud and lasted all day from day two of my week-long stay. I also didn't like that there is no microwave and not enough outlets. But it is better than some hotels and I think it would be worth more stars if it were in a better location.

The rooms were dated and not very clean.
Meaning maids hair was found on bedding & stuck to bathroom areas. I changed rooms because my first was totally not clean including bathroom floor and sink. Second room was a little better but still , the cleaning staff needs help. Front desk was polite, helpful and efficient.

Walking distance to museums, outdoor mall + arena and Old Sacramento.

The hotel is a poor choice if hoping for a good night's sleep. I was woken up several times throughout the night by loud vehicles and motorcycles. Otherwise, nice hotel.

close to Amtrak train station

It’s was horrible experience. Our ceiling was leaking water on our bed, The hotel was not taken care off, it was dirty, They offered us another room and it was worse!!! I feel like I got completely scammed, I don’t think I will use your site ever again.

Really enjoyed the service from the staff and how the hotel is a 5 minute walk from the train station. Definitely staying here again. Thank you

Place is close to old Sac, a couple blocks away. A little noisy since it’s by the freeway. My door to my room was broken at the bottom and my bathtub wouldn’t drain but they were able to fix it promptly. Pretty decent place

Easy check in, plenty of parking, walking distance to Old Sacramento area!

Full disclosure: I didn't communicate to the staff about this, so they were never given a chance to fix this.

The bed was lively.

The bathroom was gross. I don't think the bathtub has been cleaned in a long time. There were hairs everywhere. They definitely were not mine; I have short red hair these were long and black.

Clean and comfortable. Easy walking distance to Golden 1 Center

Clean room good staff, exterior looks kind of sketch though. Extremely close to Amtrak and very convenient. Overall a lovely experience if you look past the outside

There was dirty wash clothes hung on the shower curtain rod between the curtain and wall with stains on it. Very disgusting.

Great place to stay in old sac

Checking in was fast and efficient. This hotel was a perfect location to attend an event at Golden1 arena

they let us check in very early which was really helpful

The hotel wasn’t bad. The only problem was the elevators were not working and they put me on the second floor and going up the stairs. I hurt my knee. I spent half the night in the bathtub, trying to calm it down. The worst part was there’s still a sign that says elevator
