Lakeview Motel

Was not what I expected. The pictures are deceiving. I had people pounding on my bedroom door at 1:30 in the morning. Wifi did not work, so no tv or ipad could be used.
The maintenance people were very nice and accommodating.

Door wouldn't lock I pushed it open and the safety chain litterally fell out of the thin particle board wall . It's not in the town it was listed under and the walls are all paper thin u hear everything around u and they hear u

I like this property and the history of it, they’re a family business and it definitely has “home / cozy vibes”. I stayed here the first time in 2021 and really enjoyed the stay which is why I chose to stay again in 2025, it was a good stay but the room was a bit dirty this time around unfortunately. Shower curtains smelled really bad of urine hopefully they replace that soon, there were a bunch of dead bugs on the sink and cabinet. There was a giant cockroach when we first arrived in the room we only ever saw the one though, so I’m assuming it snuck in and got stuck in there? Either way definitely freaked us out at first. Had a couple issues with the tv, had to wait 30mins for it to update and then it kept freezing because the wifi was slow. Checking in & out was easy and parking was great. This is a very convenient and low cost place to stay, I do hope they clean a bit better, I would still comeback and stay again.

Great place clean and simple. Owner operator is easy to get a hold of. Place is older but don't let that scare you it was comfortable and had nice amenities

Motel was exactly as stated...amazing view of the lake, clean, tiday & efficient.
Arrived & spoke to Sarah via the office door camera. My door was opened & bingo am here.
Can't understand negative reviews: its an oasis on the road, clean comfy bed, shower spot on....oh & extra coffee.

Late check out, not a prob. Its a great little place with outdooe seating & tables.

This property is an absolute disaster. I would not recommend it to anyone. The area is unsafe the rooms smell and are very dirty. I did not even stay because it was that bad. no one is on duty. There is a phone number to call but there’s nothing you can do to fix a horrible room.

Good for short stay,needs refurnishing and new aircon

The owner was prompt to contact us after a reservation was made to let us know about an issue with the TV. The shower was hot, the bed soft and cozy, the closet large and the fridge cute, so I had all my needs met.

I had to cancel my reservations because there was no power to the room due to high winds.
This was beyond the control of the property owner.
She issued a complete refund.
We tried finding another location but everything was booked up.
We had to turn around and drive 3 hours home.
Very disappointed

The owner, Sarah is very accommodating, friendly and thoughtful. The place is not fancy, but has a wonderfully cozy feel and is conveniently about 111 steps from a market! I will definitely be returning!!!
