Lack of things like something to rinse your mouth with or have water with overnight. No spare toilet paper nowhere to put wash bags nowhere to hang coat or towels only a trickle of water in the shower
We had a night away here for my partners birthday , great pub with a good selection of beers and ales...Richard is great, he even got one of my partners fave ales in especially...What a lovely touch!
Room was very nice with a comfortable bed and view of the church. Breakfast was very tasty.
Bar staff were all friendly and welcoming. Would definitely come back to stay here again...thank you
Having to leave to go back home!
Great location , friendly staff .Nice room ,clean and tidy with plenty of storage.Live music was great and plenty of variety on beers.
Breakfast offer was underwhelming compared to similar hotels we’ve stayed in , shower wasn’t very powerful.
Maybe offer water in the rooms with some glasses.
Interesting - and historic - building next to the parish church. It was buzzing with activity over the Easter weekend, with a programme of music attracting locals and others. Our bedroom (No 6 on the first floor) was wonderfully wonky, but comfortable and it had every5ing we wanted. The en-suite shower room was large and well-equipped. Regardless of the live - and loud - music in the bar, we couldn’t hear a thing in our bedroom. We parked on the road opposite (free for two hours and between 6pm and 8am); there is also free parking in the courtyard. Supper was good, especially the delicious apple crumble and custard plus cream. The chef was absent (unwell) the next morning, but the limited menu was okay; we would have welcomed a second cup of coffee, though. Good walks for our dog from the doorstep.
Lovely pub, rooms were great, clean and hosts were fab! Breakfast was superb!
Very creaky but is an old building.
Toilet did let off a bad smell once flushed (probably will need looking at) but we kept the window open and it wasn’t an issue.
Welcoming and friendly and accommodating pets.
A great location. Good breakfast
Is above a pub so can be noisy
Great location for the town, plus parking nearby. Excellent breakfast and food
Rooms a little tired
Comfy bed, good nights sleeps. Parking and good WiFi with desk in the room. All staff friendly and welcoming.
Shower could have been more powerful.
The linen is exceptional
Was not told when booked about there been no staff and NO breakfast not even a breakfast tray for the room. On new years day
Nothing
Claimed to have parking, it may have, but for no more than a couple of small cars! Generally grubby and everything is worn out, broken and / or cheap. The curtains in my room were on the floor upon arrival, including the rail. Bathroom was not particularly clean. The evening staff were not friendly or welcoming.
Breakfast.
Creaky floors
The food was good. Freshly cooked breakfast. Comfortable bed in decent bedroom. Staff very friendly. Pet friendly.
The shower room was tight due to age of property and the power assistance required for the plumbing noisy. Unfortunately we had to eat in a side room due to an evening event alongside paint pots, stored chairs and outdoor signs.
only had breakfast. This was passable.
Could not use the car park as entrance not wide enough.
bed uncomfortable
Good breakfast
view over churchyard
car parking
Good evening meal
ample food on the plate for a reasonable price
Very uncomfortable bed.
After 10 minutes of running the tap, there was still no hot water for a shower.
Had the bedroom window open at night as it was a warm room but the through traffic started very early. With the church bells not my best stay over for business meetings.
Location and staff excellent
Needs updating. Mattress needs replacing and shower needs attention. Couldn’t regulate temperature.
