Nature dances for you here. It’s so wonderful. Best sunset views from the pool. Everyone on the staff is helpful.
Wow what a serene beautiful setting in the River. We were absolutely spoilt with attention & great service.
Chef Anish & assistant chef Baby cooked to order & delicious with lots of it. Jeevan & everyone made our stay perfect, especially after our hour sunset boat trip we had a table set up under the tree on the edge of the River. Alchil the nite porter super helpful. We had the Ayurveda massage & wow another amazing experience.

Absolutely magical spot right on the banks of the legendary Periyar River and close to historically significant sites. If you want to spend your vacation in total relaxation (hammocks and ancient Indian massages with stunning views, delicious Kerala food and friendly fast service) this is the place for you.
My frail 87 year old mother and I stayed here after a very long journey from the U.S. to rest up before heading on to our house a few hours away by car. The accommodating manager Justin booked our taxis and even arranged for a wheelchair. Akhil met us at the car with the chair at 3am when we got to the resort. Even at that late hour he was ready to bring us food—mummy actually asked for ice cream and got it! But it’s only after we woke up in our smartly designed room with a private patio that we realized how lucky we were. Shout out to the super staff Jeevan, Zachariah, the ladies in the kitchen, the cleaners, and the gardeners who are the heart of the place. Thank you all!

This hotel is an absolute gem. So peaceful positioned right in the river with the birds and wildlife. We stayed in kochi fort then came here for 2 nights as it is closer to the airport . So pleased we did . Staff are super friendly, you can hire bikes and take a sunset river trip . Great food and the pool is beautifully designed . Would definitely recommend

It’s a gorgeous place, on the waterfront of a calm river. There are only 7 rooms and it’s an ideal place to unwind and relax. The staff is incredibly helpful and kind. Food is excellent but they don’t have an alcohol license, so if you like a drink BYO.
We chose this property to have a couple of quiet days after our whirlwind 28 day tour of India. It exceeded all of our expectations. We did not meet the owners, but Justin, Amal, and all the staff were friendly and accommodating which made a wonderful location even better. I highly recommend eating all of your meals there during your stay, the chef is amazing. It might also be one of the quietest places in India. 🙂
Staff was very accommodating. Property is beautiful and serene and great place to relax. The dinner was fantastic and the boat ride was also very nice and tranquil.
Cranganor is the perfect place to relax and explore the Kerala area nearby. The room, restaurant and pool area were spotlessly clean. Staff are very friendly, Justin, the manager, organizes everything for you, day trips, backwater excursions, museum visits. Their driver, Alby, is very polite and good-mannered and knowledgeable about the area. Ask for him. I spent a week there and have absolutely nothing to complain about. Would go back any time!

Cranganor is a lovely small hotel in the most beautiful of locations. All rooms are positioned to have river views. I had one of the mustard/teal rooms and loved the views from the spacious balcony. Great infinity pool, and also hammocks scattered through the grounds.
It is very quiet - this is a place to come and unwind - no cafes/restaurants within walking distance. Food on site was very enjoyable. The staff were all friendly and helpful - a great team. And I highly recommend the massages in the spa. The couple who built this place run it, and their love for it shows in the attention to detail and high standards.
Great place in all aspects.
The property is located in a very beautiful setting, not very far from Cochin Airport, making it very accessible. We booked the Green and Black room which had a picture perfect view of the river. The room was very well designed with tasteful choices in decor and furniture. Special call-out to the stunning open bath which makes for a very perfect Instagram picture.
I sincerely believe that any good property can be made even better with its service levels. And on that, I rate Cranganor up there on the scale. Ashiq, Jeevan and the staff were friendly, approachable and extremely hospitable. They ensured we got what we needed and helped us plan our stay very well. They booked us on a guided tour of the area with an exceptional guide named Stanley- highly recommended for a more informative and immersive experience.
Finally the food. The chef did wonders with the prawns and the crab and we had to all we could in our control to not order extra portions. The Kerala cuisine was authentic and exquisite.
All in all, a great stay and a wonderful experience. We went there on our anniversary and we were not disappointed at all.
Can completely escape the outside world. Beautiful setting, lovely, quirky rooms. Infinity pool giving you the impression that you are swimming into the river.
The staff were so so nice, couldn’t do enough for you.
Only downside is that it is quite isolated so not a great place to stay if you want to make trips to other places
