Il fascino dell'architettura comunista del l'epoca ma senza le simmetrie che la contraddistinguevano
This is a poorly managed hotel. In the room there are no glasses (drinking), no phones, one of the two elevators did not work for a week (~15 min to get to your room), breakfast is OK, the staff does not care. Two years ago this was a good hotel
...
A little aged but still good
I stayed at Hotel Budapest for two nights. It was quite worn down. It wasn’t really clean. And even though I asked the cleaning lady to change the towels, my room wasn’t clean. Neither had the towels been changed.
Good location, helpful personal, minor deficiencies (no glasses in the room at all)
An excellent place to stay in Budapest. It is very handy for the Castle District and is within easy reach of the Szell Kalman Ter metro. The staff are friendly and the rooms are comfortable.
A pleasant place to stay with friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Old times charm
The tap did not function well
Perfect lication. Old charm
Hotel at 80’Y
The property is extremely dated. The walls are dirty and the wallpaper is tearing and peeling. NO A/C. Towels were small, old and stained. The room had bugs. I found a pincher bug one night that scared me to death! The beds are tiny. The pillows extremely uncomfortable. Internet was horrible in the room - I got reception while at the door or in the bathroom. I really did not want to talk to family back home fr.the bathroom!
The one redeeming quality was the woman who checked me in was so cheerful and nice.
Check in was at 2pm, arrived at 3pm and room wasn’t cleaned. Told reception and they sent a cleaner who put back on the dirty bed sheets from the couple in the room before us. Bed linen was used and dirty, told reception again and they changed the sheet and pillow cases, not the duvet cover. Water pressure in the shower not good, holes in the walls and broken window handles
Nothing special, one of the receptionist couldn't find my reservation so I spent one and a half hour until second lady found my reservation.
Before booking, I was following twice on my email re change of dates…I checked in late at night at just went sleep without unpacking. When I woke up I realised how dirty the room was, there were dirt and food on the floor, cosmetics in the drawer, no shampoo or soap. I had meetings in the morning and rushed to the reception to change the room and go to my appointment. When I approached the reception, receptionists were talking among themselves and in a rude way asked my to wait (no customers were there). I said I cannot wait I have a meeting and your room is dirty. They were inclined not change it because “you should have said us yesterday”. I went to sleep without turning the lights as it was late. After a conflict at the reception I was told to come back after my meeting, I got room that they could not confirm whether it has toiletries… it was less dirty: dust everywhere, dirty windows, broken holder of shower head but no food on the floor this time…. Very dirty corridors of 13 floor, cigarette butts, rubbish on the floor.
Very terrible experience. They haven't provided towels, handwash and receptionist was very rude. Room was in very poorly condition . It was waste of money
I found the Hotel to be well located for a business trip on the Pest side of the City. The building allows for good room views if an upper floor room is requested. The staff both at reception and at the bar were very friendly & helpful.
Most importantly, the room was a reasonable size, had good views, was clean, quiet and the bed was very comfortable.
Breakfast was a buffet and was average.
The overall value for money I found to be very good and the location of the Hoel is in a nice residential area, with restaurants close by.
