Overall it was a great stay
Pros:

Breakfast was 'ok'. The location was great as it was close to where our event was happening. You had a tesco Express close by and the walk to and from the coach station was not bad.

Cons:

Only one working lift in a hotel with so many rooms was frustrating but understand things like that happen. Couldn't work the AC properly in the room. The shower is very awkward, as you find yourself having to mop up a lot of water with the only towels given unless you trek all the way back to reception to ask for more as there is no shower door/curtain. No telephone inside the room to even call for reception and we had a window which had really flimsy handles which one happened to fall off the night before check out.

Underwhelming
Pros:

Central location, good that it had parking

Cons:

Only one lift working for the whole hotel, including staff usage so the lifts weren’t able to be used by guests for most of the time we were there!

Good old fashioned proper hotel.
Pros:

Well located and surprisingly quiet for a city centre position. Very good facilities available, although I did not use any of them as my stay was very brief. The hotel appeared well maintained and the decor was fresh. A very good hotel with a traditional feel to it.

Ok did the job
Pros:

Great position , clean white sheets, nice big bathroom and room
Fantastic parking

Cons:

Bedroom dark & dingy could do with a good paint , better lighting and a new carpet . I also certainly did not appreciate being charged an extra £39 to change the date of stay by one day . Also that the phone is never answered at all !!!
And I didn’t get the room shown in the photos displayed by booking.com or the fact they didn’t assist me with the totality unwanted additional charge!

Loved the decor and art work. Great location.

Cons:

Continental meat and cheese looked inedible it had been around too long!! Only one lift working on a busy weekend was a pain.
