Great location with easy access to the city
This is our 3rd time staying and the first time since it changed hands and we found it really disappointing. The room was fine but the bath appeared dirty. We were given an adjoining room with strangers and the walls were paper thin meaning we had a poor nights sleep.
The staff in the bar were very slow and clearly not very experienced. The bar is also very expensive! £12 for a pint of cider and 2 packs of crisps!
The breakfast was also very expensive at 18 including service (it was a self service buffet!). The breakfast was poor quality and basically cold.
One lift was broken leaving a disabled guest waiting for a considerable time to get downstairs.
We have returned here in the past due to its comfort and good service but were very disappointed with what we found this time around

Extraction system in bathroom noisy and went all night. Reception staff were very indifferent, and there was an extremely short and to the point interaction. When spending a lot of money on a room you would hope for a warmer welcome. Also shower gel was empty and not enough loo roll provided for a 2 night stay
