Nothing.
Location was great
Parking very close to hotel
Very noisy bedroom with ventilation just outside our window non stop all night
The decor
Booked this hotel for my 17 year old daughter and her partner, so they could stay in Bristol so they could do their "university research " (to see if Bristol is a place they would like to stay for university)
They were turned away at check in, as they were not 18. Even though, when booking, an adult is classed as 16 years and over on booking website.
This left my daughter and her partner 1.5 hours away from home with no where to stay!!! They were so upset, I then had to drive to Bristol to go and pick them up!
Since then, I have tried to get a refund & they have refused to do this.
Worst part was, a stag party were checking in to the hotel at the same time & they were all drunk & in fancy dress & they were allowed to check in, but my sensible daughter & her partner were turned away!
Really disappointed with this hotel, especially as I have stayed there before & my husband has used them for business events that he has organised......we will NEVER use this hotel again!
Size of rooms and decor
Getting to hotel by car
Central and good food and drink
Rooms were small
Location
Room was awful, in dire need of decorating and updating.
The staff were really helpful and the carpark was very convenient. The room was small but was clean and acceptable. Breakfast was excellent 👌
Room was a bit small but was acceptable
The mid sold upsell. From booking to invoice it stated with our upgrade we got unlimited soft drinks in the mini fridge. When we arrived no drinks, so my husband went to reception just to be told ‘we don’t do that anymore’ not even an offer to compensate - considering that was part of what we paid for to ‘upgrade’
The room itself was ok, bath was not exactly clean with all old marks on it.
Room was warm and big enough
Breakfast was £40+ and was cold. Staff on in the morning seemed like they'd rather not be there. Which i get. But its a lovely looking hotel and morning staff made them seem unapproachable.
Maps didn't work so couldn't find the hotel to use the parking
Everything..
Greet spot in the centre of the city, room was a good size, clean and fresh.
Maybe the walls are thin or we were just unlucky but we had very noisy room neighbours - I had to ask them to be quiet at 3am. Maybe some signs reminding people to be quiet at night would be good.
Parking next door
Breakfast was appalling. We went at 10.00am on Saturday. At the time there were no baked beans,no hash browns,no bacon but would only be a minute, and the sausages were undercooked. The coffee machine wasn`t working correctly.
Very dodgy service in the bar.Prices kept changing, for example, large gin and tonic and pint os Aspels cider £18.01,next round £20.45 for same round. There were 8 of us staying there this weekend and all of us experienced the same thing.
Great location, good price . Lovely room
