Pros:

Perfect location. Great old building. We were very happy with the feel of the place. Our room was just perfect and en-suite shower room excellent, white tiled room. The staff we had dealings with were helpful and polite. Really happy with the Grand. Definitely coming back. So many restaurants to hand as well. Spoilt for choice.

The demise of the once Grand Thistle/ Mercury and now OYO hotel
Pros:

Location is perfect
It has a car park

Cons:

Despite not being full we were given a box room with no access on one side and probably the worst bedroom ever
Rust on the curtain rails
Paint peeling off in places
Mould on the windows
Shower was too low
Thin walls consequently you could hear all the conversations of the guests next door
They had the cheek to change 19 pounds for one night parking

Buena experiencia
Pros:

La ubicación es perfecta, en pleno centro de Bristol. Había plancha y tabla de planchar, aunque no la utilizamos es una buena opción. El personal amable, tuvimos un problema con la tarjeta pues no abría, y lo solucionaron de inmediato.

Cons:

No conseguimos que funcionara la calefacción. He leído después que al parecer es un problema para otros huéspedes. El edredón no cubría toda la cama.

It was good but not outstanding
Pros:

The location for exploring Bristol centre is great. It was reasonably priced and pretty clean

Cons:

The mattress was quite hard and woke with a bad back, the shower was missing the rubber seal on the door so the bathroom floor got very wet. The window closely overlooked a block of offices which is fine but could have done with a net blind for privacy. The room was small but Could have had a small table or shelf on the other side of the bed for putting drink and phone on. Hotel staff were polite but not particularly friendly/interactive

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Bristol’s traffic system doesn’t give easy access to the hotel.
Pros:

My first visit to this hotel. Friendly professional staff made the stay very enjoyable.

Cons:

My sat nav struggled to find the parking provided by the hotel. I had to use the local NCP and make my way on foot.

Great syay
Pros:

The room was beautiful and bigger than expected. Was lovely and clean on arrival and the location was perfect a 7 minute walk to harbour side!
