Very comfortable room, ideal for the dog. Lovely surroundings. Good food.
The location is good and room was clean, breakfast was home cooked and very nice.
Arrived at the hotel having booked a table for dinner for the four of us, when we checked in we were told that their Aga had broken and they were unable to provide an evening meal. They did offer to drive us somewhere else and booked us a table at the local pub, the red lion, we drove ourselves it was just 2 minutes down the road. We had a lovely meal there. It would have been nice to have been Informed before we arrived at the hotel that we were not able to eat there as we may have stayed out and eaten before we got to the hotel.
We were in the annex rooms which are lovely but very warm and only having a patio door so it was uncomfortable to sleep.
Also I would suggest some new pillows as the ones in the room were very flat.
Shower doesn’t work if you have just flushed the toilet you have to wait for it to re fill which takes a little while. We felt this hotel caters better for weddings than just a few guests.
Staff were very excelent, good breakfast, clean and comfortable room good size great veiws
The weather
Good location. Quite. Good parking. Good views of open countryside.
Not in the main hotel as expected; would have preferred to have been informed beforehand that this was the case. Small things overlooked i.e only two tissues in the box, no welcome pack, so no information on breakfast times, checkout expectations, WiFi information etc. Room was a little musty and warmed with a free standing heater. TV reception wasn’t good and the remote control was temperamental. I had been informed beforehand that dinner would not be available on the night of my stay, however there didn’t appear to be any facilities available such as a bar or light meals. Staff not overly welcoming/cheerful.
Breakfast was okay. Priced paid more than the amount on this website.
The breakfast was delicious.
Hotel is very tired and dated. It really needs a lot of TLC to bring it up to standard.
Tasty breakfast and really lovely staff who made us feel very welcome
The courtyard room was spacious for two humans and three dogs. The grounds were great for the dogs to explore off lead safely. The staff were really nice and very dog friendly. The breakfast we had was great, Cooked breakfast, cereals, fruit pastries.
I guess the only thing that would say that I would think could do with a little update would be the shower. In my opinion it was a bit outdated, and on the small size ( shower over the bath and a shower curtain) the bathroom is ample big enough to have a more generous shower area.
Absolutely beautiful
Nothing
Mooi landhuis. Hotelkamer was in bijgebouw
Werkelijkheid niet meer zoals op foto’s. Landgoed oogt rommelig. Weinig onderhoud de laatste jaren.

The standard have dropped dramatically within a year
Triin was a perfect host, despite our late arrival, she met us a the door showed us to our room and made sure we were comfortable
Some of the proprietors of
Very nice and helpful staff. A really big and comfortable room, superclean. A quiet and beautiful setting around.
Delicious food made the time that we preferred (in our case early).
Nothing comes to mind.
I enjoyed my one night stay at Sturmer Hall in a superior room upstairs in the hall which was very comfortable and clean with beautiful surroundings. Friendly and helpful staff with plenty of choice served at breakfast.
Nothing to dislike, only improvement could be better signage for where to park, you have to drive past the hall before you see the only car park sign.
Location was ok for where we were visiting in Haverhill.
Breakfast was ok with varied choices.
Accommodation was ok,outside spaces could do with some t.l.c
