Very nice stay with overall good service and facilities
Pros:

Tried two restaurants. The Thai restaurant had high quality food at decent pricing and great service.
Another hotel restaurant gave late serving and wrong timing of the dishes. However, food was still nice.

Top notch hotel and staff with good distance to the airport and sea.

4-star plus property, beautiful and stylish design, fairly big well appointed rooms with all you expect in this category, quiet, nice big pool, very friendly and kind staff

Cons:

Unfortunately the hotel is not managed well with plenty of little mistakes in almost every part of operations. Some examples:

1. Asked for a room away from the elevator before arrival, and got it confirmed. Asked again upon Check-in. First got a room DIRECTLY at the elevator!!!!!
2. The safe in the new room didn't work. Had to stay in the room for 90 minutes waiting for someone to fix it.
3. Room was set up for 1 person only and I had to ask 3 times to get a second set of towels and toiletries.
4. Despite a good tip room cleaning was always missing something. 2 times no refills on Nescafé, incomplete set of towels a s.o.
5. We had room service breakfast every day and they forgot something every day. On the first approach our breakfast was not complete once. For a missing knife we had to wait 15 minutes, then the breakfast was cold.
6. Sun beds at the pool are standing on the wrong side of the pool only - in an area which has shadow the entire day. Did anyone ever consider, why they are equipped with (in this area totally useless) umbrellas? On the sunny side of the pool there is nothing to lay down on.
7. Sun beds have a waive shape and can be used only for laying on your back.
8. In the main restaurant the AC was not working, on the night we went there for dinner. There is plenty of seating outside. But there was no one telling us upon arrival to better pick a table outside. In fact the staff didn't even realize the AC doesn't work before we told them (already sweating like pigs).
9. The food quality in the main (buffet) restaurant is extremely poor and a lot of items were cold. It's so far away from Dusit standards that one may assume someone buys cheap stuff while keeping expensive items in the accounting.
10. When we asked for the restaurant or f&b manager, someone showed up, first pretending he is. I was super sceptical and told him, I don't believe he's the boss.
