Mama Shelter Lille

Chambre très comfortable, calme, hotel bien localisé, proche des gares de Lille. J'ai dormi très bien, ma chambre était bien isolée du bruit des soirées (j'étais au quatrième étage). Le personnel est sympathique et il y a toujours quelqu'un à la reception. J'ai eu un séjour idéal ! J'y retournerais sans hésitation !

Hotel tres bien, literie tres confortable, propre, bonne taille et calme. Bémô,l "moquette dans la chambre". Douchette pas pratique car on ne peut pas régler le debit de l'eau. Du coup pas écolo. Restaurant bon mais les salades sont un peu chères. Les 3 boules de glaces sont servis vulgairement dans un bol et le gout n'est pas top. Dommage ! Personnel agréable.

Perfect stay

Great hotel super convenient for the main squares and cobbled streets of Lille. Dog friendly rooms and restaurant. I do miss coffee in my room is my only "complaint"

in a great location for acess and parking, cewntral to Lille shoppiong and restaraunt areas. Would stay here again.

Fantastic hotel with excellent breakfast. We had cocktails in the bar - superb and ate there one night. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend the hotel and would stay in a Mama hotel in other cities.

Un accueil original et cosy. Un concert au restaurant le soir et un petit déjeuner avec des produits locaux et maison. Facile d'accès depuis les 2 gares TGV de Lille. Seul bémol, trouver la porte d'entrée...

Good:
Super close to both train stations which is convenient. Also close to the big shopping centre.
Colourful decor in rooms (however if you dislike full length wall mirrors on each side of your bed, you might not like this…)
Fridge facilities and safe in room
Free movies on tv
The restaurant and bar has DJs on the weekend if that’s your vibe (however noise can be heard in the rooms)

Bad:
Room was quite worn and unclean - there were hair trimmings by the sink, cigarette hole in the curtains and the shower was crusty. Toilet paper was also very cheap. Rainfall shower never fully heated up to the right temperature.
The bathroom amenities are really lacking - one bar of soap and an all-in-soap for hair and face.
I’m all for minimising environmental impact but this feels cheap and not useful (so wasted) rather than useful, quality products. Conditioner would be appreciated.
Despite connecting to the WiFi neither AirPlay or chromecast worked.
Breakfast is okay but you can get much better fare for the same price / cheaper at the local trendy cafes. Not a lot of variety for vegans or gluten free folks.

I’ve stayed in mama shelter hotels before (albeit a few years ago) but after this stay I think it will be the last time. The quality is no longer there and the standards feel more budget than boutique or playful - despite the price being on the higher end for hotels in Lille. You can get better for your money in Lille - I wish I had booked somewhere else for my trip.

Lovely art type hotel. Nice decor - very friendly staff. Parking can be a nightmare. Limited spaces - tricky to know if spaces are available before driving into tight parkade.

Hotel usine dont le concept vieillit un peu
Bousculade au petit-déjeuner, buffet vite dégarni et service débordé
Parking trop petit qui vous oblige à trouver une place dans le quartier (en tachant d'éviter la fourrière comme ça nous est arrivé)
Prix devenus prohibitifs eu égard à la qualité de la prestation proposée
Bref, j'y séjournais tous les ans à Noël et je n'y retournerai plus

A great edgy hotel. Loved my stay. The breakfast was great as well.

This hotel is very well located. It's got a nice bar/restaurant and a trendy feel to it. I found it mostly to be a well sound proofed hotel, quiet and peaceful, until the Saturday nigtywhen the bar had a very loud dj set until midnight.

Le personnel est à l'écoute et les chambres très spacieuses, modernes et personnalisées.

La salle du petit-déjeuner est très agréable et l'offre est très variée. Tous les produits sont de qualité et en quantité suffisante.
