They cancelled my reservation 2 weeks before me coming there without providing any reason. I was trying to contact the hotel over 10 times but they do not pick up and rejected the call each time. Booking.com could not contact them either. The hotel is beautiful but unfortunately I do not recommend going there or even considering it as an option since they are very unprofessional and lack any type of customer service. There is a lot of better options in Chefchaouen than this one. And if the hotel sees this review, I would love them to contact me, even via email since they are not responding to them as well.
Beautiful area and riad. There is a lot of walking involved to get around the city but that is part of the fun. The riad was a place that we did not expect and thanks to Ali at Iconic Morocco Tours we were able to get in. We had a great time and highly recommend it!
You could look into my room from the only window. The sheets were torn, and there was a bug in my bed. The showerhead didn’t screw on well, so the water sprayed everywhere. When I asked to change rooms, they said no. When I asked for a refund, they said no.
Incredibly beautiful with gorgeous view of the blue town, great food, great staff, clean and nicely decorated rooms, incredible pool area (little resort) and you can walk to town). Highly recommend it when visiting this beautiful town and its people
hotel was chosen as part of our group travel. we were about 25 tourist. hotel does not have lifts. access to the hotel is limited. taxis can only come halfway and you have to walk the alley ways...so pack light. however it was a beautiful experience staying over here in this boutique hotel filled with a myriad of shops and nearby to the famous blue walls of the medina for pics.
breakfast consisted of warm breads with honey, mint tea and olives and jams. a simple yet filling spread. loved the home made peanut butter!
each room is different. our room was built for a hobbit as you had to bend to enter the room. all part of the charm. small cupboard in room and bathroom was very small..(picture cruise ship style) .no hairdryer in bathroom however you can get hairdryer or iron from reception. free wifi. limited bathroom amenities. hotel was always clean and neat.
the location was perfect as hotel was near to restaurants and the famous Square for some lovely shopping. right outside the hotel you had stores selling beautiful carpets and ceramic plates and ornaments. i enjoyed my experience of staying here for 2 days. suited for short stays . staff were respectful but you hardly saw them. felt very safe in chefchaouen.
We had 3 rooms. The heat on one of the rooms did not work the entire time. Otherwise a cute Botique hotel! Breakfast though limited was fresh and delicious! The service was good and we enjoyed the quaint alleyways and rooms! The pool area was pretty! It was too cold to go in the water!
A very nice stay. We had a beautiful room at the top of 83 stairs that had a great view and a private little deck. Just don't count on having internet. In the two days that we stayed there, the wifi was off as much as it was on, despite repeated requests made in person because there are not any phones in the rooms.
The hotel is nice, the rooms are comfortable, the staff are nice and friendly. The pool and the courtyard are good outdoors options. The restaurant is fine, nothing especial. The breakfast selection is very limited
Recently spent 2 nights at this beautiful Riad in Chefchaouen and loved everything about it. The building and grounds are beautiful with a wonderful swimming pool. The rooms are clean and comfortable, walk in showers with rain shower heads and quaint furnishings. This was with a Road Scholar travel group. The dining room and dinner service was very nice. The breakfast room was pleasant but lots of bees. I would definitely stay here again.
Such a cute riad right in the heart of Chefchaouen. Extremely welcoming and friendly staff always willing to help. Spacious and comfortable rooms with a good Wi-Fi signal. Delicious food. Definitely recommend.
This was a cute riad, in the heart of chefchaouen. The breakfast was plentiful from eggs to fresh nutbutter & bread to fruits & tea. It was a great start to our mornings here. The front desk attendant was very friendly and offered help finding our way and provided recommendations. It was so nice that my sister and her friend booked it again for their trip, after my sister & I had left.
Dar Chefchaouen is a very cute hotel, the room is clean but small. The breakfast is fine with bread, eggs and croissants. The stag members of the hotel are very kind to help you to find your way in Chefchaouen.
This is a cute place, but it is in pretty poor condition. It could be such a neat place, but needs some TLC. In my room, the showerhead had holes, so water shot out in all directions and since the shower wasn't installed correctly, there was a lot of damage to the plaster. In my colleague's room, there was a tv and heater, but neither worked. We were all quite cold through the night. The bedding was clean though, and it was a sufficient hotel for a night in Chefchaouen. Plus, it's family-owned, which is always good.
The Dar was really pretty. Amazing location as you are walking distance from the entrance of the blue city, looking at the mountains and far from the hassle of outside the medina.
The decoration within the dar is fantastic, colorful flowers, stone buildings and an incredible pool
Set behind a blue door surrounded by bougainvillea and beautiful plantings accompanied by a huge collection and ceramics, this hotel/riad was a fantastic experience. Each room was distinct and decorated differently. The hotel restaurant/lounge and garden areas were just delightful places to whole up and take in the natural beauty of the area. The pool and pergola was so relaxing and the perfect place to cap off a day of adventure in town with an Aperol spritz (we brought our own libations as the riad does not serve alcohol). This riad was a great way to introduce us to this type of hotel. It was small and intimate; we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.
This hotel is the worst experience we have ever stayed in. The two rooms we booked have no air conditioning, only the fans, and the bed raft! The driver guide next to it took a video and changed the room. Poor our two rooms were not found at the time, and the skin attack occurred after leaving the next day. It’s a terrible with nightmare!
Good hotel and good services. But the way with difficulty, Equipment has improved.
Upon arrival at our Hotel we were overawed by the beauty of it. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast lovely and the location and views amazing. Would definitely recommend. Wish we could stay longer.
