Great hotel, let down by basic comfort issues
Pros:

Breakfast - staff were great, food was very tasty and the right amount

Cons:

TV did not work properly - unable to engage channels

HVAC - no change in temperature despite adjusting the thermostat, room too cold

Both items were reported to the hotel, no feedback/action

Pros:

I have stayed here many times before over the years, and stopped because the rooms were moldy, unfriendly staff and a bad restaurant- decided to give it another chance, but found more of the same.

Cons:

Not much, rooms still dirty and the restaurant was mediocre before not is worst than ever

I usually enjoy staying at Double Tree, this one didn’t live up to its standards
Pros:

Location was right where I wanted to be
Plenty of elevators, no wait

Cons:

Night outside temp was low 50s and we had no heat
The bathroom is to small and the opens in an there is only room for one person and that is crowded
Only 2 towels in room first night and zero towels on second day
H honors and no water offered

Ten Year Anniversary Celebration
Pros:

Beautiful and classy atmosphere for my ten year anniversary. The meetings beforehand to discuss my vision from my husband and I were great because we handled all components while given helpful suggestions so it would be an amazing event. The staff was thoughtful and the assistance day-of was lovely. The access to set up the tables and decor was perfect. This hotel also provided an amazing Haitian meal for my family and friends. Dessert was terrific. I would not hesitate to have another special occasion here because the team is flawless.

Not the DoubleTree standard
Pros:

Booked a room for 4. Only received 3 cookies when checked in. Only got three towels in the room. Hotel was very tired looking. Room had a musty smell. Carpet and chairs were full of different stains. No hand soap in bathroom. Went to have breakfast in the morning, none of the tables was not wiped clean. Waitress said just take any table. But almost all of them had breadcrumbs on the table and we don’t see any waiters or waitresses. We waited for some time for someone to come and clean the table but no one came so we left. This hotel changed my view for DoubleTree. It might be the worst DoubleTree I stayed in the country.

NOTHING WORSE THAN AN OLD PROPERTY TRYING TO UPDATE AND NOT DO A VERY GOOD JOB OF IT
Pros:

Beware, this is an OLD property. Furniture was beat up and carpet was extremely dirty with awful stains and our shower floor was so nasty. Wallpaper was peeling off the walls. Our first night there we were jolted awake with an air conditioner making an awful noise. We had 2 queen beds but had to move to a room with one king bed because they were sold out. The only redeeming quality of this property was the comfiness of the beds.This is a Hilton hotel property, and I expected more from a Hilton property. I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express in Melbourne, Florida the night before our stay at Doubletree by Hilton, and HIE was by far so much NICER than this property…. Go figure?
