Pros:

Location and cleanliness

Cons:

Our TV was out the entire stay. When I called the front desk the first time I was told it was because of “cloud cover” with a very snippy attitude. Turns out it was a bigger issue and the entire hotel was affected.

Pleasant stay but for just an overnighter, it was very luxurious, but over priced for our needs
Pros:

Location was good, we did not eat breakfast there.

Cons:

The bathroom was nice, but it had a low toilet and the shower was hard to adjust the hot water.

A beautiful property near shopping and dining options.
Pros:

The room was spacious and clean. Beautiful property inside and out, with definite Southwest/Spanish design and decor. The outdoor pool area was tropical in appearance. Great location with dining options within walking distance.

Cons:

No free breakfast, though the breakfast options at the Cantina were very good and reasonably priced.

Scores 4.5 of 5.0, One of my best Visited Hotels!
Pros:

This hotel overall is an Encanto – its namesake in Spanish for enchanted! From the moment you walk in you feel as if you’ve entered a Spanish Colonial Villa over a couple of centuries ago! Going back in time with modern conveniences and luxuries is the way to go. Although not historical in the sense and prestige of La Posada in Winslow, AZ, this hotel stands as a perfect essence of what the southwest as a whole, especially what Las Cruces specifically is! Walking around the hotel you experience the museum, like experience from its architectural design, art pieces, sculptures, not to mention its overall ambience. Its minutes from everything. Having the opportunity to regularly stay over many accommodations across and occasionally outside the country, not a professional hotel reviewer by any means, and not a regular business traveler - but as a primarily pleasure and needs wanderer, I have developed as what I believe is my concise method for scoring the worthiness of each hotel visited. My criteria are as follows and the results are: 1) ease of access to and from public or private ground transportation [Score: 4.5 ]; 2) convenient and safe parking [Score: 4.5]; 3) access, accuracy and convenience of check in and check out [Score: 4.0]; 4) atmosphere, ambience, public facilities, lounging areas and access to an office center and Wi-Fi access [Score: 4.5]; 5) overall customer service - including but not limited to Hospitality, Support Services, Concierge knowledge, communication, attitude and demeanor of staff [Score: 4.5 ]; 6) quality, cleanliness, value, convenience, amenities (i.e., ironing board, iron, TV, charging access, phone, et.al.) and comfort of rooms, beds, room safe and/or valet services [Score: 4.5]; Taking all the aforementioned categories in a scale of 1 star to 5 stars with 1 being the worst and 5 being the best a hotel can be! This hotel rates a: 4.4. Most positive point(s) at this hotel are: the great customer service, cleanliness and atmosphere. Most negative points found here are: hard to find and/or think of.
