Loved the location and atmosphere. Very modern and inviting.
Websites say there is a pool but there isn't one.
The staff, especially Tianda, was professional, friendly, and made the experience smooth for check-in to check-out. The hotel also had great amenities, including a nice fitness center and convenient on-site dining options.
Overall we had a good experience at this hotel though there are some areas for improvement. We booked this for the recent holiday weekend because it was a decent price and in the general downtown area. I cannot remember the last time we stayed at a Sheraton property since they were bought by Marriott ten years ago.
The lobby of this hotel is a bit stark and felt cold (not the temperature).
We were pleased to be able to check in early (and check-out late) and to get an upgraded room as a Platinum member. I don't recall though if they offered me the Platinum welcome gift of points.
The room on a high floor had a good view and was nicely appointed though the carpet needs to be replaced. Not only was it looking worn and dirty there were ridges in it where it was buckling. The bathroom was a bit dark but it had the hottest water I have ever had in a hotel. It was so hot from the tap you could make tea with it - so watch out.
With our status we had access to their club room on the ground floor. It was OK. It was a bit spartan as were the happy hour and breakfast offerings.
The location while downtown is at the northwest edge so it was a bit of a walk to many of the typical tourist attractions in town. And finally interaction with the staff was professional not exactly warm and welcoming.
I had such a wonderful stay!! From the moment I checked in, Tianda was absolutely phenomenal. I work in the hospitality industry myself, so I really notice great service — and her professionalism, warmth, and genuine kindness were so appreciated after a rough night. This trip was super spontaneous, but because of experiences like this, I’ll definitely be staying here anytime I’m in Philadelphia again. Thank you for making me feel so welcomed !!
Not much. Only thing was location a benefit.
I was there for a two night stay. Left for the day and evening after first day and room was never cleaned. Call to inform the front desk, they made a halfway attempt to accommodate by providing more towels. Still room was not vacuum, bed and sheets were not changed nor bed made. Very poor service in regards to the room and our stay.
The room was pretty, clean, and comfortable. It was nice having a concierge in the lobby. The meeting rooms were excellent. The little coffee shop was really wonderful, especially the staff. The coffee was good, too.
The restaurant was not good. I got my buffet breakfast, but was almost completely done before I had to flag down the hostess to get coffee. No refills offered. I had to go to the hostess desk to get the bill. Basically, the wait staff just ignored a lot of people. And the food wasn’t anything to write home about.
Loved the lobby and the mezzanine. Loved the escalators, too.
We came into town for Drexel College of Medicine graduation not realizing that it was also the Stotesbury Regatta and a number of conferences as well. The hotel staff managed the crowds well, but the shining star was Stephanie, the restaurant hostess, who made us feel like we were the only people there! Don’t let her go!!
Great customer service and assistance from Tanida at the front desk. Upon our arrival Tanida was very friendly. We also needed extra items delivered, and she came through very quickly. Tanida was exceptional!
The room had an odor
I recently tore my ACL and am on crutches. Steven Corley helped me with my bags to the car. He helped me get in and made sure I was safe and comfortable. He was incredibly professional, kind, and service oriented. The Sheraton is lucky to have him on staff.
Location
I first sent messages on Booking asking to have a crib set up in the room and they went unanswered. Then I called twice and I was assured the crib would be there. I asked them at check in and they said it would be installed shortly. I reminded them on our way out at 5 pm and they said they would call to set it up. We came back from dinner, and crib was not here. It’s 9 pm and I’m rocking my baby with nowhere to out him down. My husband went to the front desk and they said they cannot find the crib (?!). I chose this hotel instead of a cheaper one because I would have a crib.
Update: they gave me a partial refund.
Very clean and generally nice staff.
Some procedures were not cistomer friendly.
The best thing was the gentleman who worked at The Terrace restaurant who couldn't have been more helpful and kind.
The rooms and the hallways (carpets) felt old and dirty. Shower was very suspect in terms of how clean it was.
