Mondrian Los Angeles

If you enjoy a room with a view of a rat trap, filthy, stained chairs, cigarette and room deodorant reeking rooms and truly the most decrepit, dirty hole I have had the displeasure of experiencing, then this is the overpriced rathole for you. There are no words.😵‍💫🤢🤮 I checked in, and a few minutes later, checked out.SHOCKING!

We love staying at Mondrian. It's the perfect, quietly cool yet always iconic spot for anything I might be doing in West Hollywood or Hollywood - our home base when in town. My stay comes with amenities galore, great dining, that pool (under cover when it's cool), a really excellent gym, and stylish, comfortable, and impeccably clean rooms that make me feel like I'm somewhere special. It's affordable luxury with ambiance, which isn't always the case on Sunset. Big shout out to Chef Concierge Jason, who's a delight; we're so grateful for the Equinox West Holllywood on Sunset passes and overall excellent service that he provides. If you're noise adverse and it's a weekend, ask for a room on the north side of the building so as to miss enjoying the SkyBar fun below.

Super cute hotel with beautiful rooms and views. The check-in staff Isabella and Ford welcomed me to LA with amazing energy and their customer service is top tier. Highly recommend this location!

Hotel is fantastic

I booked to stay in the Mondrian Los Angeles from the 12th-15th Feb, for the cost of £1,214.00.
On arrival I was told my room has been 'upgraded', the room was on the 1st floor which always sparks suspicion having travelled so much, so I asked was it noisy and reception said 'it shouldn't be'.
I got to the room, and the room was next to the Mondrian night club. The room was literally vibrating , the music was super loud. This was around 10pm.
I called reception, complained and the said they had no other rooms available. However they would agree to refund me if I wish to check out. They advised to call Airbnb who I booked through, Airbnb said no problem we'll message the hotel and advise them it's ok from their side.
Within 30 mins, I checked out of the Mondrian and went across the road to the Andaz where I've stayed many times.
The next day I received a message from Airbnb asking for a video of the room, I told them their advisor hadn't asked me and I'd left the room immediately.
This has now been two weeks of back on forth with Airbnb and the Mondrian, and neither side will help. They basically robbed me, after saying it was no problem and I would receive a full refund.
I travel every month for either work or pleasure and I've never experienced anything like this!!
Firstly I would highly advise NEVER booking a hotel room with Airbnb, you have No protection whatsoever.
Secondly shame on you @Mondrian I thought you were a respectable hotel brand having stayed with your hotels in multiple locations.
In 25 years of travelling iv'e never experienced two supposedly respectful brands act so deceitfully. @Mondrian Los Angeles know the room they put me in is not acceptable, and despite all my troubles booking elsewhere still decided to rip me off.

Let's see what happens to both of these brands in due course, if this is how they treat customers!

The hotel is in a great location. The front desk staff were very helpful on arrival - especially Ford who helped organize an early check in! It was appreciated after a full day of traveling to get there!

Hotel was in a good location and at the start of the sunset strip. It had plenty of amenities and staff were attentive and always helpful.
Breakfast was quality and in a relaxed environment. I ordered room services and the food was wonderful. I also had a snack at the Sky Bar one evening and food was on point.
Rooms were large and had all I would expect from a hotel of this star rating. This hotel
Has a night club which operates most nights so the noise from the music can be heard - I was on level 7 and wore ear plugs each night as the music went u til 2am so if u don’t like noise u may need to ask for a higher floor. Overall a great and comfortable experience.

Upon arriving, everyone at the front desk was so helpful and I have to say they were there for me throughout my stay. I was traveling alone, so I relied on the team heavily. Isabella was so friendly & eager to help; always going the extra mile, Stephanie was extremely kind and professional, Destiny made me laugh & brightened my day, and sweet Keomi really came through for me when I made an error with my checkout. I had a great room with a magnificent view, and outrageous bathroom. I also enjoyed the gift shop so much! The hotel is the perfect location & so fun. I'll be back. Huge thanks to Gerald too!

We stayed at the Mondrian for 11 nights, I found that it was a great location and central to everything. Staff were friendly, especially Alex the night manager. He truly went above and beyond to ensure everything went smoothly. Thank you Alex for going above and beyond.

Exceptional Stay – My Go-To Hotel in West Hollywood

Another outstanding stay at the Mondrian. This hotel never disappoints and continues to be one of my absolute favorite place to stay.

From the moment you arrive, the staff make me feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. The level of hospitality here is so great and is the main reason I return again and again. A very special thank you to Isabella, Kyle and Stephanie…their kindness, professionalism, and genuine care truly make it feel like a home away from home for me. I return often because of it.

The location is unbeatable. Right on Sunset Avenue in the heart of West Hollywood, you’re close to everything…restaurants, nightlife, shopping, and the very convenient Equinox gym.

Guest service is very excellent and it’s a great value. Staff is so caring. If you’re considering where to stay in West Hollywood, I can’t recommend the Mondrian highly enough. Thanks again Isabella, Kyle and Stephanie!

Mondrian as a hotel brand helps the desirability of staying at Mondrian. As a family we booked four nights in two rooms. The hotel certainly has a vibe that goes throughout the main areas. Concierge, front desk and floor staff were all very courteous and helpful. We did notice that the hotel has licensed its food and beverage areas, including the pool to independent operators, which creates an uneven standard of service and care. This did cause some issues, such as not being allowed entry to the pool area as my wife and I did not have our ID with us (it was in our room upstairs); even though we showed them our room key! The rooms are large, but very tired and desperately need refurbishment. As this was the original Mondrian Hotel it should carry the flag for all subsequent Mondrian Hotels. It does not.

We had an amazing stay at the Mondrian celebrating our anniversary trip. From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding and truly made us feel special.
Chris deserves a special mention — his attention, kindness, and professionalism made our experience even better. As a lovely surprise, we were gifted complimentary breakfast, which was such a thoughtful touch and meant a lot to us.
Beautiful hotel, great vibes, and excellent service overall. We can’t wait to come back!

Absolute wonderful greeting by Isabella and Kyle. It is an excellent place to stay for my first time in America! Cannot recommend this place enough as an Australian
