I really liked this hotel and enjoyed my time here. Room is spacious, staff excellent, great wifi and location. Ticks all the boxes.
Nothing
Ja me hospedei varias vezes neste hotel. A localização é excelente, proximo a estação de metrô e de Georgetown. Hotel bonito, bem conservado, limpo, com funcionários simpáticos e super colaborativos. Existe a opção de pagar pelo cafe da manhã, delicioso
Tudo
Good location, very clean, big rooms.
The bed was rock hard and the pillows were horrendous. We did not sleep well at all. We were also disappointed that the breakfast was à la carte and not the traditional buffet. The food was good but the menu was limited and not what we have come to expect from American hotels.

En sıradan otelde bile olan bir şey
I was here doing orientation with the American Councils RLASP program. The hotel staff were extremely helpful, Naty, Claire, and Rafika were especially helpful.
Naty was very welcoming and quick to engage in smooth and polite conversation as well as solving any problems or confusions that arose.
Claire was extremely helpful when trying to navigate different portions/levels of the hotel. (Navigating rooms, and locating the gym/dining-area/etc.
Rafika helped organize all of the student luggage collection ensuring people had easy and secure access to what they needed before departing..
Location, staff, service 😊😊😊😊 Brekafast
Hotel was old but , the price was so convenient .
A great hotel and amazing service—especially from Naty Rayven and Lee !
The overall atmosphere of the hotel was wonderful, and the bright energy of the reception staff, Espacially Lee and Mel, made our visit so delightful.,
The location was excellent, friendly atmosphere, very decent rooms and I felt that we got good value for our money. I would recommend this hotel to other travellers visiting Washington DC. I especially want to mention Chanee who was very helpful and supportive to our requests.
i liked the location
the housekeeping staff barely did their job ! our room didn’t have any kind of bare hotel necessities like tissues in the bathroom. there were no slippers, shower caps, dental kits. the staff even made a mistake and locked us out of our room one night !
Location is perfect for us because it's just beside St Stephen church and just below 10 mins walk from the train station. Room is clean and cozy. Most of all, staff - especially Lee, are very accommodating and friendly.
Melrose is surely worth recommending.
I normally go with the big hotel chains but The Melrose showed up in my search for a hotel with a convenient location near the DC metro and within walking distance of some restaurants, and at a fair price.
Off the bat, the lobby of The Melrose definitely upholds its hotel category as a 4-star hotel, but with service you’d expect from a 5-star (and exceeding service I’ve had at some 5-star hotels). Kobe and Naty helped check me in and sort me out for early check-in, making the process extremely smooth and efficient and a blessing having landed after a red-eye. At the generously later (12pm) regular check-out time, Naty helped square me away and even take my suitcase for storage as my flight wasn’t until the evening. Retrieval was quick and simple as well, where Lee and Tracy helped answer my questions too.
Full transparency, the rooms can be slightly dated but bear in mind this is a hotel on the historical register. Did everything function for my needs? Absolutely: quick hot water with good pressure, air conditioning, fast WiFi, in-room safe, refrigerator, door locks, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, even an umbrella in the room. I couldn’t hear any street noise besides church bells during the day from the church next door, and a door closing along the hallway every now and then. I didn’t partake but there was coffee available as well right in the lobby if you were in a rush and didn’t have time to stop by one of the cafes in walking distance.
The service provided by the staff I interacted with is still far and beyond why I’d definitely come back to stay at The Melrose in the future
