Great for an overnight stay.
Pros:

Location was great and convenient to the airport.

Cons:

They gave the room that I reserved with double queen beds to someone else. Luckily they had someone check out with a same room so we just had to wait for them to clean the room.

Pros:

Location was very convenient. Close to airport, and a wonderful restaurant across the street. It had great service, and wonderful food.

Cons:

Even though it was Alaska, You need the choice to have Air conditioning. It was very warm, no air.

Okay at best.
Pros:

The hotel maid service was excellent, and the night staff seemed genuinely concerned about our situation; the day staff didn't seem to care much. Location.

Cons:

Too bad the restaurant wasn't open. On the second day, there was no hot water for a shower, and the room was too hot even with the temperature set low.

Outstanding service and support from a hotel that made a real impact on an exhausted family.
Pros:

My family and I were on a cruise to Alaska. However, due to a mechanical issue on the airplane that the cruise line selected for us, we missed our cruise departure time in Seattle, WA.

Lesson one - Don't book an airline through the cruise company, instead, fly the night prior to the cruise so that you don't miss your cruise. This is because the cruise-line won't wait for you, even if they booked your flight!!!

After a lot of back and forth, the cruise line eventually got us a flight out to Seattle, and then on to Juneau Alaska, so that we could meet the cruise line a few days later. However, that was all of the support we got.

Lesson two - Always buy the cruise-line travel insurance. The only reason why the cruise-line bought our tickets to Alaska was because we paid for the travel insurance! Without this, we would have had to have paid for 6 new airline tickets ourselves!!!

Not ever having been to Alaska previously, this created a lot of additional stress on an already difficult day. Plus, the three flights we had that day, were all late by over an hour, and just to top off the day on a high, the airline also lost our luggage.

Once we had our new airline tickets in place, my wife went on line, and we took a gamble on trying to stay at the Travelodge in Juneau. It was a last minute booking, but there were two available rooms for the 6 of us in the group.

We arrived around 1am, and even at that hour, the hotel sent a shuttle to pick us up. Great service for an extremely exhausted and stressed out family. We left our home at 4am Texas time, and finally got to our room around 1:30am Alaska time.

The next day, the airline found our luggage in Texas where we departed from, and had it flown to the airport in Juneau. I walked over in the morning, and met the plane at the terminal, and picked up our luggage. Once again, the hotel sent a shuttle to help me carry all of our luggage back to the hotel, even though we had absolutely no fresh clothes the next day, due to the lost luggage.

We got cleaned up, and then the hotel shuttle took us into Juneau for the rest of the day to enjoy the town, which we really enjoyed (a highlight of our trip to Alaska). The shuttle then picked us up later in the day.

The next morning, we checked out of the hotel which was nice and easy, and then the hotel once more took us back to Juneau where we were able to walk to our ship to continue on with the cruise.

This hotel was amazing, and we are so very grateful to them for all of the kindness that they showed my family and I. This could have been an absolute nightmare scenario, but thanks to the people in Juneau, and at the hotel specifically, we really enjoyed our stay in Juneau. In fact, if we ever get a chance to stay in Juneau again, we would definitely stay at this Travelodge again.

Thank you for all of your support and kindness, we really do appreciate it.

Warm regards.

Derek and Family
