The hotel was comfortable and close to all the activities but the parking price was too much!!
Pros:

I love the proximity to the beach, eateries, metro and pier.

Cons:

The parking price was ridiculous! Parking should not have to cost so much when you are a guest at the hotel. You need to make the guest feel welcome not robbed.

AMAZING STAY
Pros:

Amazing atmosphere !! The service is indeed amazing and top notch, they accommodate so well and not only the rooms are great but so is the staff. Pedro from the bar is truly the sweetest and super efficient !!! Than you very much got all the care and absolutely loved my stay.

Vacation after the vacation

When we arrived at the hotel no knowing what to expect, we were greeted at the car door like royalty. As we entered the lobby I was blown away by the ambiance that made me feel like I was back on the island in Mexico I had just departed from. DJ was our concierg and so professional and delicate. He treated us as if he knew us a lifetime and knew just what a group of three middle age ladies preferred when it came to hospitality. I wish he would the it into my suitcase. First, he poured us a glass of champagne to welcome us which was great fully appreciated after a 40 min drive. We were slightly early for check in and he was willing to care for our belongings and offered us complementary bicycles to stroll the Santa Monica strip while we wait. It was priceless. The hotel totally wowed us at arrival and it got better by the moment. Our room accomodations were immaculate! Double doors and white marble floors from the entrance through the bathroom. Everything was so clean and very well designed. We were celebrating my birthday so we chose an ocean view room and were able to have a toast sitting in the comfort of our hotel and watch the sun set over the horizon. Our bedding was clean, crisp and so comfortable. To be honest, we felt right at home. If you are a stay in kind of gal, the there's a dainty cafe downstairs serves a nice breakfast and a few other delightful bites. While you are waiting, take a stroll onto the courtyard where the vibe totally delivers!! Initially I was concerned about prices, but I can honestly say that I got lots of bang for my bucks and would definitely recommend this property if nice is what you like. I know I don't want to book with anyone else.

A Very Nice Stay
Pros:

Viceroy SM is well located and has a nice vibe to it. Only real complaint was the parking cost at $62/day. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms are well designed and clean.

Emplacement idéal pour visiter Santa Monica (5 min à pied du Pier et 10 min du Downtown). Chambre spacieuse et literie très confortable.

Cons:

Peu ou pas de services dans la chambre (rien dans le minibar, pas de machine à café). Pour un prix aussi élevé par nuit, on attend une autre qualité de service. Tout est en supplément (parking horriblement cher : à privilégier le Civic Center Parking Structure, 14$ la journée max et 5 min à pied de l’hôtel). Personnel peu accueillant. Petite piscine et souvent à l’ombre.

Santa Monica Perfection
Pros:

This was my eighth time back at the Viceroy and I loved it just as much as my first. The hotel is ideal for travel in Los Angeles, and offers the kind of atmosphere you want for either business or leisure. The rooms was well appointed, and whilst we were on the non- Ocean side, the view still took in much of the west of the city.

The staff were first class as always... A special shout out to Luis and BJ who made us feel welcome every time we arrived back at the hotel, and made an extra effort to welcome our 6 year old.

I've only once previously had a room issue at the Viceroy, and it was promptly fixed. It's because of the service we keep coming back.

Basic. It was fine but didn't stand out. Won't stay here again.
Pros:

The room was comfortable and clean. Bikes were a nice addition

Cons:

No hot tub is crazy. Cabanas are so expensive for absolutely no reason. TVs need to be upgraded, balcony wasn't actually a balcony, view was not nice, valet so expensive each night and kind of a trap since there is no other parking in the area, cafe downstairs is not tasty. Wifi sucked.

Our new home base in Santa Monica
Pros:

Love the vibe and the room was beautifully appointed. We booked using chase points- and without asking a room upgrade and a glass of champagne in hand at check in. Billing all accurate. Ocean is just across the street. Great place to land in Santa Monica.
