Beautiful beach stay in LA
Pros:

The location is incredible and it was worth the upgrade to have an ocean view. There is so much incredible food, coffee, and bars within walking distance or by bike which they offer at the hotel you don’t need a car.

Cons:

Valet was a little expensive and even when taking Uber they wanted to assist you entering the building which was unnecessary.

Five star stay
Pros:

We had a wonderful stay at the Viceroy!

The room was lovely and clean. We enjoyed breakfast and great cocktails at the restaurant. Everyone from the front desk to housekeeping was kind and very efficient. We had a great time on the bicycles, at the pool and the surrounding areas! Angel and the entire valet staff were incredible with our children and extremely helpful. We would stay again!

Pros:

Excellent hotel, and centrally located. The room was spacious and the staff was so friendly and helpful. I was really impressed with my stay and definitely plan to return.

Cons:

The breakfast was expensive - customizations like egg whites or added proteins just had a lot of unecessary fees. I found there were better deals on breakfast at some five star hotels in the area.

Great Check In
Pros:

John and Dyami went above and beyond and I wanted to note my appreciation of them personally. I arrived at the hotel after a 14 hour flight to find out I had made a mistake with my reservation and booked for a week later than intended. Obviously this was stressful. But John and Dyami worked together to find me another room quickly and at a comparable price. They ensured my stay there happened hassle free. I was really impressed with the service.

If you are looking for a blend of modern style and genuine hospitality right by the ocean, this is the place to be.
From the moment I arrived, the friendly welcome at the front desk set a positive tone for the entire trip. The staff was attentive without being overbearing. I particularly appreciated the lifestyle perks included in the stay:
• Beach Yoga: A fantastic way to start the morning with some fresh sea air.
• Complimentary Bikes: Having access to high-quality bicycles made exploring the boardwalk and the pier incredibly easy and fun.

The location is ideal—perfectly situated for those who want to be close to the action but still enjoy a sense of privacy.
• Dining & Pool: The hotel restaurant is impressive, featuring a beautiful pool area with plenty of comfortable seating. It’s a great spot to relax with a meal or a drink in a stylish atmosphere.
• Fitness: For those who like to stay active, the fitness center is well-equipped and maintained.

I am writing to express my deepest gratitude and highest praise for the exceptional experience I had during my stay at your beautiful hotel, beginning with my check-in on February 21.
From the moment I arrived, I was immediately impressed by how impeccably clean the property is and how stylishly luxurious and elegant the décor feels—everything aligned perfectly with what I had hoped for and more. The overall atmosphere is sophisticated yet welcoming, making it an ideal retreat.
That evening, however, I encountered an unexpected issue: my credit card could not be authorized for payment. It was already quite late upon my arrival, and I was understandably anxious and tired. I cannot thank Mr. Faraz Khan, the Front Office Manager enough for his incredible support and kindness. With great patience and professionalism, he worked tirelessly to find a solution, calmly reassuring me throughout the process and helping ease my stress. Ultimately, he facilitated contact with my family in the United States, who kindly provided a guarantee so I could complete check-in smoothly. His empathy, resourcefulness, and genuine care turned what could have been a very stressful situation into a positive one. The entire check-in process, thanks to him, remained pleasant and reassuring.
The stay itself was wonderful—the room was exceptionally comfortable, the location is unbeatable (just a few hundred meters to Santa Monica Beach), and the surrounding area is peaceful and quiet, allowing for true relaxation.
Later, during check-out, I unfortunately left behind two precious personal items. It wasn’t until I returned to Hong Kong that I realized they were missing. When I contacted Mr. Faraz Khan, he promptly confirmed that the items had been safely secured by the team. He then coordinated with Samaria (who was incredibly helpful throughout), and she patiently communicated with me via email over the following days, guiding me through the entire process to arrange secure international shipping back to me. Their diligence and follow-through ensured everything was handled smoothly and without any added stress on my end.
This level of attentiveness, professionalism, and genuine hospitality is truly rare. Because of Faraz, Samaria, and the entire Viceroy team, my stay became not just comfortable, but memorable for all the right reasons. It far exceeded my expectations.
I will absolutely choose Viceroy Santa Monica as my first (and only) option whenever I return to the area. Thank you once again for going above and beyond—your team has earned a loyal guest and enthusiastic advocate.
