Beach & bikes!
Pros:

Everyone here was incredibly accommodating! We used the bikes to go to the complimentary beach yoga (which was an epic experience). Their old fashioneds were top notch! The beds were so comfy and the rooms were beautiful and clean. Edith and the male manager were awesome as was the valet who helped us w our bikes! So close to the beach, too! Highly recommend.

Perfect place to stay in Santa Monica
Pros:

Great location and was lucky enough to get an early check in which was well needed after a long flight. Service was fantastic and the free bike hire was brilliant.

Shout out to Luis!!!
Pros:

The hotel was absolutely GORGEOUS!!! Special shout-out to Luis the doorman. He went above and beyond to help us with directions to where we wanted to go and he was super kind and friendly. I felt like I made a new friend!

Not a four star hotel
Pros:

Definitely not a four star hotel. Our room overlooked the car park with laundry storage cupboard next door which meant early morning noise. No breakfast tea available in the room. Swimming pool in the shade for most of the day, with torn loungers. Overpriced in every way. Mainly used for corporate events. Avoid if you can.

Warm Hug on a Cold Day
Pros:

Christa T was absolutely wonderful. I am visiting with my sister during a very difficult time, and Christa was like a warm hug on the coldest day. The staff was so accommodating and anticipated our needs before we could even think of them ourselves. Thank you!

Beautiful Relaxing Stay

Our stay at Viceroy Santa Monica was fantastic and felt like a true vacation from start to finish. We stayed in a junior suite with a sea view, and it was absolutely worth it—bright, spacious, and incredibly relaxing, with beautiful ocean views that set the tone the moment you walk in.

The hotel strikes a great balance between laid-back coastal energy and polished hospitality. Everything feels easy, calm, and thoughtfully designed, making it effortless to switch off and fully enjoy the stay.

A perfect choice for a real escape by the ocean. We’d happily return.

Best doorman experience
Pros:

This hotel is a gem and great value for money.
The staff are so warm and friendly and considering the rate the service is excellent
A special shout out to ANGEL the Doorman who was simply so professional and helpful as we (my assistants) and I travel with a lot of luggage to bring wardrobe to fashion shoots etc
ANGEL also assisted me with finding my lost uber and put me safely in the car on my way to set !

THANK YOU ANGEL & all the wonderful caring staff and shout out to MATTHEW FRONT DESK at 12 midnight helping solve room issues !

Pros:

We had a wonderful stay at the Viceroy. The hotel has a sleek, modern design that makes a great first impression, and the location is hard to beat—just steps from the beach and Santa Monica Pier.
Our room was clean, spacious, and the beds were comfortable. But what really stood out was the team. John, B.J., and Edwin were all incredibly helpful and made us feel well taken care of throughout our visit.
Would happily stay here again.

Cons:

Pregunté si podía hacer check in temprano ya que llegaba de un viaje largo. Me dijeron que si había habitación disponible, me la darían. Al llegar, me quisieron cobrar 75 dólares más para eso. No me gusta cuando pagás casi 500 dólares por noche y apenas llegás ya te tratan de sacar plata de cualquier forma. Otros buenos hoteles, si tienen habitación disponible, te la dan.

Ideal location
Pros:

The location is 10/10 and we booked an ocean view which was worth the extra cost. No issues with the service however the room amenities let the booking down in my opinion. In particular, the bed was extremely uncomfortable, the pillows were thin and unsupportive, and water wasn’t refilled again from check in. There was no coffee machine or kettle available without special request.
