Overall, while the location and views are definite highlights, the service simply does not match the hotel’s positioning
Pros:

The hotel is nicely located in Cape Town, offering beautiful ocean views and a decent gym with good-quality treadmills.

Cons:

Unfortunately, the service, particularly at breakfast, was far below expectations. It was extremely inconsistent and inefficient. No one would proactively come to take our order, and getting served seemed to depend entirely on luck. At this price point, guests should be approached shortly after being seated, without having to constantly look for someone to assist them.

To make matters worse, staff would sometimes clear our plates and cutlery while we were still using them. There seemed to be plenty of staff around, but a clear lack of coordination and proper training. The issue is not the number of employees, but how the service is managed.

Additionally, the power outlets in our room stopped working for an entire night, which was another frustrating inconvenience.

Unhappy ending!
Pros:

Location was very good, the hotel is clean, but noisy. If you still sleeping until 8am you will hear the house keeping staff shutting the doors around!

Cons:

The noise and the hotel manager. We booked for 6 rooms, and we've asked for late checkout for the 6 rooms of the 3 different families due to the flight timing, they allowed only 2 rooms and until 1 only, so I asked for 30 minutes/room only until (12:30), they rejected! I believe they should have better decision making in considering families with young children and babies.

From start to finish we had 5 very disappointing days at this hotel. I would not recommend it to anyone.
Pros:

Location to waterfront was excellent

Cons:

From the 1st moment, the reception staff were incompetent, failed to take a credit card deposit so all our hotel purchases required on the spot payment . None of the hotel facilities were explained ie no shuttle info, no evening cocktail hour details, no welcome drink (saw others being offered one)
Our van driver in a very respectable vehicle arrived for us and was told he needed to park on the street.and for us (hotel guests) to walk up to the street some 200 metres away. He refused!
There was no information in rooms about the hotel or spa facilities
Breakfast was good but the restaurant food at other times was sub standard with a very limited uninteresting menu

Great stay for a weekend in Cape Town - central, comfortable and a great spot for a sundowner!
Pros:

Great stay. Hotel also added extra touches for our baby that stayed with us like a cot and bath products - overall a great stay and location.

Pros:

Die Lage ist unschlagbar. Man sitzt beim Frühstück quasi direkt am Wasser. Man kann zu Fuß zu Victoria Wharf laufen (ca. 10 Min) was in Kapstadt wirklich Luxus ist. Ich hatte eine Zimmer mit Balkon zum Meer raus und war wunschlos glücklich.

Cons:

Die Zimmer sind pricy. Allerdings ist alles auch von großer Qualität.

A memorable stay once again

There was a bit of confusion with our check-in as I upgraded our room, but when we were checked in we were allocated the wrong room, but it was sorted out very quickly and satisfactory.
