Lovely hotel with quiet setting and warm friendly staff
Pros:

The breakfast buffet was huge and also offered a Al carte options. All the staff were attentive and spent extra time making our stay so nice. Rooms were very nice and quiet. We were given a bottle of wine on arrival and each evening there was a free glass of port or champagne at reception.
We ate dinner at the restaurant several times and everything we ordered was well prepared and delicious. Much better than hotel food in the US.
The area is very quiet, and you can walk or jog along the coastal path. The property is close to the V&A Waterfront where there is a huge shopping mall and restaurants. (Used the free shuttle because it’s not easy to walk there.)
We also used UBER to get around and that was inexpensive and fast.

Pros:

We had dinner at Tobago’s and the food was excellent! The position of the hotel is the best in Cape Town. Also the rooms have been renovated.

Cons:

When we previously stayed at this hotel we always had down pillows. This time the pillows were not down and were uncomfortable.
