Old worn out
The pool was nice - no hot tub as shown on the tv in the room. Breakfast was very nice, service was wonderful . Captain cooks crows nest was a lot belt expressing.
We were in tower 3 and room were old and tired looking. Although very clean. Stayed in tower 2 - 4 months earlier and room had been updated.. front desk lady checked us in with a huge thing of candy in her mouth and it was hard to understand what she was saying. We did check in at midnight but still odd.
Valet parking. Easy check-in. Central downtown location for meetings and conferences.
The don't carry Pepsi products.
This was a very nice hotel.
I liked everything about the property. It was a very nice stay .
I would make one suggestion and it didn’t affect my stay.
For folks out of state like myself from Texas I would not tell people it’s safe to walk around by themselves before true daylight hits. This in my opinion is not a true statement.
Spacious room and comfotable accommodations, good food at our event and attentive staff
Room heat wasn't very adjustable and several guests agreed their rooms were too warm, as well.
Had a very late check in, midnight and no issues. Room was comfortable and clean. Great view from the 18th floor. Breakfast was excellent in the Pantry, great friendly server. Location was spot on
…
Very clean, friendly staff and great food.
Not having a hot tub.
Location was great!
Great location
I got a junior suite and got a view of the building in front of me. I would say a bit unlucky given that all rooms hav open views
Great location. Nice restaurants. Comfy bed
Hotel Captain Cook is an elegant, comfortable place to stay in Anchorage. Check-in was efficient on both of my recent stays. Both of my rooms had all the conveniences I required; I did prefer my first room, which had a walk-in shower, over the second, which had a tub/shower, but everything worked in both. Breakfast options were plentiful and delicious, and good coffee and snacks were available all day in The Cubby. A special shout-out to Amos at the concierge desk, who set me up on a tour to the Girdwood area when my original tour cancelled.
I had hoped to do more walking around in Anchorage, but sidewalks beyond the hotel's block weren't cleared well enough for me to take a chance on the packed snow and ice. My expectations for March conditions were probably too high, but I felt a bit isolated having to take a car service everywhere. This isn't something the hotel can remedy, but it might be helpful information to those looking for a place to stay in Anchorage.
Great location and good restaurants
