Had meetings at Hospital for 2 days. Love the Hotel and the staff. Had dinner also and the food was great. Look forward to staying at the Peabody in December.
It was beautiful ❤️
Hard to navigate the area.
Beautiful room, and I did not leave it. I was here for a staycation and just ordered the room service. The food was delicious. I also booked a deep tissue massage at the feathers spa and it exceeded my expectations. I left feeling so relaxed. I later went back to the peabody after my stay to have cocktails at the lobby bar and the corner bar and they were great. The duck march was super cute to watch and would recommend watching it during your stay.
Nothing. I loved everything about my stay. I wouldn't change a thing
Staff was friendly and helpful. The Peabody Club had a good happy hour and breakfast. Pricy but worth it.
Everything!
It’s beautiful and loved the detailed moldings and wood work throughout the hotel ! The staff at Peabody are exceptional and make you feel so welcome. They also all seem to love their jobs and want to make sure you have the best experience while at their hotel!
The Duck Master was so entertaining and watching the ducks march to the elevator was fun and an interactive experience!
The historical significance was amazing and the ducks and staff were great
The bathrooms could have been better
The room was beautiful & very comfortable.
The hotel lobby & bar area had a great atmosphere & was very comfortable.
The duck parade was exceptional.
All in all an amazing hotel & a tourist attraction in itself steeped with a lot of history.
Nothing
had 3 adult people in room with 2 queens - very nice
Overall look is fresh clean
Could use a refrigerator in room
The "Duck" parade cute!
We had really looked forward to this hotel and I didn't want to leave a Bad review but the Staff avoided solving problems and were verging on rude. And now have avoided every Email and chase up Email so far!
After travelling 6 hours on a bus we arrived to elevators not working but told we could check into our room if we wanted to Walk Up 11 flights of stairs! No offer of looking after bags or free drink whilst waiting etc. We then said we would use Spa/Gym/Swim facilities whilst waiting and told they were not open and they never did open as there had been a burst pipe. Once again NO offer of compensation! When finally got to room toilet had dirty water in it, the safe didn't work and nothing in the boxes of amenities. There was drilling and banging outside that went on ALL night. GETTING NO SLEEP From the noise!! And bathroom lights weirdly went on and off as well, as if a ghost in there all night. No hot water in the morning so Cold shower in the morning! We went to reception but they didn't want to deal with it. Most our friends ( 25 of us there for 30th Wedding Anniversary Celebration) had similar experience if had a room on that side of the hotel and the Anniversary couple felt so bad they spoke to Karen Thompson (HR Director) and Lasonia Crawford (Front Desk Manager) who kindly offered to refund the Group for bad night on 20th November, and lack of facilities, etc it was agreed and they took our Room number 1157 but no refund has ever come through to us, nor to Booking.com everyone that booked through Trailfinders did get a refund. I have emailed Peabody but no acknowledgement nor refund given. Been such a disappointment and waste of a lot of money!! And lied about Refund! Such a shame for what should have been a happy event and thought would be an amazing hotel
In town for a personal appointment overnight and thought we'd stay at the famous Peabody.
Upside:
- Check in and bellhop were fast and very friendly.
- Corner bar server and piano player were courtesy and attentive.
- Hotel atmosphere and architecture are delightful and elegant.
Downsides:
- Valet service was too high to retrieve vehicle after texting from room. They even walked by me standing out in the cold by the podium without saying a word to help or inquire. After I approached the 3 guys standing in the valet booth on status of my vehicle they determined they hadn't even started to retrieve. Overall delayed over half an hour and almost missed the appointment we were in town for to start with.
- Deli was supposed to provide complimentary coffee with our 'snowed in' package only to be told it wasn't included.
- Sold on an upgrade to the room for $60 - $77 including all the taxes - only to find the room to be what we would've expected from the Deluxe room booking. Would hate to see what the deluxe room looked like.
- Calamari appetizer ($19+tax) was rubbery and so chewy we couldn't finish.
- Not really the hotels fault but the amount of taxes you pay in Memphis for a hotel is outrageous. $50 of tax added to a room rate of $229!
Overall what started as a promising night just had one let down and disappointment after another. All the hype of the Peabody was overshadowed by nickel and dimming and poor service.
We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel, that was very expensive!
