Historical hotel with lovely vibe and character
Pros:

Lovely hotel with great history. The duck ceremony which takes place twice daily is very special and worth watching. The hotel has a lovely vibe about it and also has several clothes/gift shops. I would recommend Lanskys which is where Elvis used to purchase his clothes.

Cons:

We almost missed our flight as we were informed by a member of staff on the reception desk that we would not need to book an Uber in advance as they were plentiful and that leaving at 7am for a flight at 8:18am from Memphis would be adequate. We decided to leave earlier and at 6:20am rung down to reception for a porter to collect our luggage (as we had been advised to do). We waited for around 25 minutes in the lobby and was informed that the porter was busy dealing with someone else’s luggage. In the end i got the luggage myself. We then proceeded to try and book an Uber but none were available until 7:15! We did get our flight but this was very stressful and we had to rush. Staff need some training on this type of thing. Also, perhaps the hotel could provide a shuttle bus (for a fee)?

Cons:

1st room we were assigned to needed at toilet fix. We waited for an hour and half, only to be told the room should have never been assigned. Repacked everything and was assigned to a much smaller room. Dinner downstairs was excellent, the service was very good once we were recognized. We waited over half an hour just to have someone come to our table. Only 2 other tables in the restaurant. We were compensated. Upon checking out, I used the ladies room in the lobby. The inside handle broke off inside the stall! Had to have someone get me out! I guess this trip needed a good sense of humor!

A must stay in the heart of Memphis.
Pros:

This beautiful historic hotel is in immaculate condition. The interior areas are beautiful, reflecting the history of this famous hotel. It is strategically located within walking distance of many locations including Beale Street.
Of course, the Duck March is a must attend event, particularly for the children.

Cons:

The bathrooms are a bit small and dated, however they reflect how a hotel of this age should look. That said, they are clean and well restored.

לא משתלם!! כדאי לבוא לבקר בלובי (ומי שמתעניין אז פעמיים ביום יש את עניין הברווזים) אבל לישון במלון אחר 🤨

המלון מאד יפה. יש לו את הסיפור ההיסטורי שלו ואת ״האטרקציה״ של הברווזים ועל זה הוא מסתמך והמחירים יקרים ואינם מצדיקים את הרמה המאד בינונית של החדרים!!

Cons:

החדרים מאד קטנים, המיטות לא הכי נוחות, מקלחת ושירותים מיניאטוריים!! ומאד מיושן הכל. באמצע הלילה נאלצנו לקרוא לאינסטלטור שיפתח את הסתימה והמים ירדו בשירותים. המכונת קפה לא עבדה. כוס חלב שביקשנו עלתה בשירות חדרים 12$, מחיר מוגזם ברמות!!
אחרי שהתלוננו פיצו אותנו במחיר החדר אבל את עוגמת הנפש אי אפשר להחזיר!

Mooi hotel, maar slechte prijs-kwaliteit verhouding
Pros:

De algehele uitstraling van het gebouw is prachtig en klassiek, wat erg luxueus voelt. De locatie is top, je zit echt op loopafstand van bijvoorbeeld Beale street. Daarnaast is uiteraard de duck march een echte belevenis om mee te maken! Wat ook leuk is is dat het thema eendjes in het gehele hotel tot in de kleinste details terugkomt.

Cons:

Helaas was mijn kamer niet erg schoon. Er lagen rommeltjes op de vloer, de wc bevatte nog sporen van vorig gebruik en er kwam zwarte troep uit de gootsteen toen ik de douche wilde aanzette. Ik heb toen een andere kamer gekregen, echter lag daar etensresten op de grond. Ook het onderhoud van de kamers laat te wensen over; schimmel in de naden bij de badkamer, vuile (kalk) randen bij de stortbak. Ook het personeel was niet bijzonder vriendelijk zoals ik dat gewend ben van andere Amerikaanse hotels. En voor de prijs die je betaald valt deze ervaring vies tegen!
