It was a gorgeous hotel but wouldn’t return with kids.
Pros:

Clean and classy

Cons:

The area didn’t feel the safest, surrounded by cop cars. Not the most kid friendly. My kids didn’t get to see the ducks so they were very disappointed. The walk from the park garage to lobby is long. Communication definitely not very good.

Pros:

The Duck parade twice a day is a super tradition. The hotel tour by the duck master is a must. A really great guy he is. Rooms were superb. Food was excellent. Staff were great. Highly recommend this as a place to stay in Memphis.

Cons:

Not a lot not to like so no complaints from me. It was a real treat and a little unexpected too which was great.

Mom and daughter trip to celebrate her 11th birthday was literally - Spectacular !!
Pros:

Arriving on the overnight Amtrak from Chicago at around 6:30am, hours before standard check-in, we were bracing ourselves for a long wait. Instead, we were met with a warm “not a problem,” and told our room was already ready. It was exactly what we needed after a tiring journey, especially traveling with my preteen while we both felt completely worn out.

From that very first moment, the service set the tone for an unforgettable stay, but what truly elevated our experience was Jayda. Her attention to detail, genuine warmth, and intuitive sense of hospitality were simply exceptional. She made us feel not just welcomed, but truly cared for anticipating our needs, engaging us in thoughtful conversation, and helping turn ordinary moments on the lobby couch into lasting memories. Jayda has a natural gift for service that cannot be taught, and it made all the difference in our trip.

The hotel itself offers so much to enjoy. From in-room dining to a beautiful afternoon tea experience, every meal exceeded expectations. The famous Duckmaster Kenon was as delightful as we’d hoped. His duck march was a highlight, and he even gave my daughter her own ducky and cane, which absolutely made her day. We originally discovered the hotel through a travel blogger, and Kenon kindly took time to record a fun video with my daughter… another special touch we won’t forget. Until next time!!! With hugs from Chicago!

Between the incredible service—especially from Jayda—the iconic experiences, and the hotel’s perfect walkable location in a safe and vibrant area, this trip was truly remarkable. Memphis itself impressed us with its rich culture, museums, and amazing food, but it was the people—especially Jayda—who made it unforgettable.
