Loved the history and the feel
We just wanted to relax but the tv situation was outdated.
The property was very elegant and clean.
On one of the other rooms, mind you still not knowing about the $41 parking fee, as they left the parking ramp ended up having to pay the $41. So basically we paid $82 for parking for that room because he paid cash at the booth and $41 on the card.
I like how it was close to down town and the older feel of the hotel.
Wish they had a better gym with bigger dumb bells. Room veiw was horrible pool was little small and did not feel very warm. My wife trip fall in the bathroom. Ended up hurting her foot pretty bad. So probably won't stay again.
The view of the river and museum
Nothing
The property feels dated and out of touch. At 2:13 p.m., no restaurant was open, leaving me sitting alone in an otherwise grand but empty lobby.
As an 11-year Diamond member, this experience was disappointing. This property no longer feels like the premier option in Grand Rapids. In the newly renovated tower, the furniture drawers do not close properly, and the room had visible food residue and dust underneath, which raises concerns about attention to detail and housekeeping standards.
I understand that loyalty programs are designed to encourage repeat patronage, and that status alone does not guarantee special treatment. However, a basic level of hospitality and care would go a long way toward restoring confidence in what was once a truly grand property.
Good time with my boyfriend wish I could see him more
NOTHING EXCEPT LOCATION
bedding was uncomfortable and thin especially with the weather being 15 outside. NO menus or any literature explaining what the hotel had to offer. NO housekeeping, nor refill on water and or coffee. photos of hotel looked amazing - what I paid for at $550 a night was not that at all! small and uncozy and uncomfortable. bed and sheets and towels were never changed. check in Thursday at midnight and out Sunday for a ill of $2000 - not worth it at all. no way to see how much or what was offered at the spa - again no literature. restaurant at Madrid had excellent food nd Brandon the server was amazing! all other hotel services, including $50 a day for valet were extremely lack. worst stay ever! definitely not a 4 or 5 star hotel stay
very good - convenient
comforter on the bed was lacking and short. Needed to get the blanket out of the closet
I have to share my outstanding experience with Steve, who answered my call when I was looking for assistance with my niece's Alexandra stay at this location. I want to thank him for his professionalism and his kind attitude. I congratulate the hotel for having employees like Steve! Thank you.
Tha staff was amazing from the time we pulled in to valet all the way until we checked out.
Loved everything about this weekend.
