La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Savannah Midtown

This was by far the nastiest place I have ever seen. Upon check-in the front desk guy told us there was no breakfast. He said if you are unhappy about the ne breakfast thing then they can cancel your stay. We got to the room and everything was so gross, it looked and smelled like it hadn't been cleaned in years. We canceled our booking which was painless. STAY AWAY!!!

This is without a doubt the worst hotel I have stayed in. The carpets everywhere are very dirty, the rooms (we had two and I heard others complain) had only one bath towel. No face cloths, not hand towels. Just one bath towel and a bath mat. Things are broken everywhere, light bulbs are burned out in many places including both of our rooms. One gate to the pool is seized and can't be used. While I was waiting at the front desk for more towels a man came in and said the room he just checked in to was dirty and the beds had not been changed. This hotel is going bankrupt and the staff have been told to not spend money or resources. Without a doubt.

I checked in 9/30/2024 @ around 3:30 PM.

The first room they gave me had no lights or TV. I reported it to the Front Desk and they told me to go back there and they would correct the problem in a few minutes. I waited 20 minutes and, reported it again and FINALLY they came to the room, and, Yep, no lights or TV. The next room they put me in had no A/C. Same routine, and the next room was missing lights and had no smoke alarm. The next room (yes, I'm am pretty patient) had no light in the shower room: Not acceptable!.

I asked for a refund and was told that I should be understanding since they recently had a hurricane. I questioned " how does a hurricane remove a smoke alarm? Finally, they reluctantly refunded my M/C.

Over an hour waisted and not even an apology.

This place is a dump, operated by very unprofessional people.

The room was not too bad except that the drain was blocked, the water was hot than changed to cold then to hot again and soon, the sheets not really my clean, but the service I received was terrible. After asking for room service, he started with excuses, he had an attitude it was shocking. Never met such a unfriendly person. That's definitely not a place to relax or enjoy. Best to avoid that hotel. I have been on a memory lane, revisiting places I have been with my late mother once it was a nice hotel, but now??? OmG

Do not go here. The worst experience… the room was disgusting and stank. It was like it was an old room and wasnt usuable.

The room was gross, floor was so dirty, ceiling was falling in, the room smelt bad, there were cigarette burns in the bathroom on the tub, the toilet ran all night.

Staying here was a blessing b/c our vehicle had to be towed from I95 to GMC dealer, which was across the street ; and we travel with our dog. However, the property is pretty rundown. Not enough covers on the bed, no wash clothes, and no restaurants within walking distance. Don’t book unless you are desperate like we were.

This is the worst place I have stayed. It is definitely not an inn or hotel. It is a gross motel with everything broken. I didn't take my shoes off for as long as I could. The housekeeper must be completely overwhelmed because it was clear they had attempted to clean but it was nasty. We wouldn't have stayed if it had been any more than one night. With so many options nearby, do not book this! The fridge, tv, air conditioner, and wheels on desk chair were all broken. The toilet ran every half hour. I barely slept, especially since I couldn't even trust the linens on the bed. There was visible dust, grime in the tub, and the carpet was just plain disgusting. There was one towel for the four of us and the beds were not the size they were advertised as. The person working was often hard to find or had a line of people complaining about the same issues in their rooms. The experience was so bad that we cancelled a stay with a different La Quinta for the next night. I don't think I would stay there again if someone paid me to.

Do not stay here. This is the worst hotel and shouldn't be in the Wyndham line. We found fecal matter and stains rubbed into all of the carpet. There were both dead and live bugs running across the floor. There are black handprints all over the doors and walls. The television didn't work at all. The pool water was a deep pond green. We should have left, but we were too tired. There were The Savanah Health Department is currently inspecting this place.

Without a doubt, this motel is the most disgusting and dirty, unsafe La Quinta that we have ever stayed in.

Unfortunately we arrived late on July 4th and were placed in a room that appeared to be more of a dog kennel unit. Is this the room where the staff takes naps or brings their pets while they work?

The carpet has bird poop and crusted either dog or cat feces on it, or both. There was a roach meandering around the bathroom. The room smelled like cigs and weed, pet urine and a dirty ac unit spewing out musty air. The TV didn't work and the electric in the bathroom did not work

The pool is filthy and cloudy, it has a skim coat of algae on top. Looks like something straight out of the Chevy Chase 'VACATION' movie.

After speaking to other guests who were in Unit 117 , they noticed blood spatter on a wall. They said it has fleas. Black mold creeping around the shower.

The vending area smells like urine. Matter of fact, there was a guy peeing between the machines, not a care in the world.

Trash is everywhere from the bushes, flower beds, sidewalks, stairwells, parking lot. If you need a place to dispose of old car tires, this is the place for you.

Please do not stay here, you'd be safer in your vehicle in a parking lot. Definitely drug and prostitution activity going on.

Wyndham needs to remove their name from this property. Wake up Wyndham!

Stay safe and healthy and clean all you travelers out there. Say 'no' to the La Quinta at 6805 Abercorn in Savannah.

It was not a good stay. everything seemed to be very unorganized. The cleanliness was poor. The staff was not helpful at all. repairs need to be made, in order to improve the quality of customers comfort levels. Water should not be backing up in the shower. The tub floor should not be corroded, or at least not have that appearance. The curtains should not look molded. House keeping should be available to clean the rooms. Clean wash rags and towels should be available.

Didn't feel clean due to wear and tear in the room I stayed in. But there were hairs in the sink. I wanted to take a bath after a long day of driving but couldn't stomach it.

This is the worst ever La Quinta we have stayed. Shame on you Wyndham for allowing your name to be affiliated with this "DUMP". The smell was horrible, the ceiling was rotted above the shower head. The doors were filthy both inside and out. Hello Wyndham you need to shut this "DUMP" down ASAP! The address is 6805 Abercorn Street Midtown Savannah, Ga. Room # 145. The non-smoking room was filled with a strong odor of weed smoke. It had a single bed, which was a double, not a queen as expected. There was no exhaust fan in the bathroom, and the room fan was broken. Overall, the room was not clean at all.

The hotel is very dirty and the staff is really rude: rushing us to finish breakfast and rushing us to leave an hour before check out - knocking on our door telling us to check out. The room smells liked cigarette smoke and there are burn marks all over the bathtub.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. I used to travel 90% for work for almost 10 years, so I couldn’t begin to estimate how many hotels I’ve stayed in. This hotel and staff were hands down the worst I’ve ever experienced. The suite I booked wasn’t available because they simply didn’t clean it that day. They offered me a lesser room and advised it would cost extra because rates went up since I booked. After 11 hours on the road and a child asleep in the car, I got upset. Instead of being professional and trying to provide good service, the employee told me I could pay the extra or he’d cancel the reservation and I could go elsewhere. The employee left and hid in the bathroom. We just needed a clean bed and to crash. The thought of having nowhere to sleep or finding another hotel was stressful, to say the least. When he finally came back, I showed him the price in the app which he eventually honored (still more than the price that room would have been when I first booked but less than the suite). The room was horrendous—filthy carpet (we wore our shoes the whole time), broken bathroom door, broken TV, paint chipping off the walls, just terrible. The one saving grace was the beds were reasonably comfortable and the sheets appeared clean. So far, no evidence of bed bugs but we were/are definitely nervous. This was absolutely horrible. We checked out the next morning and were in a long line of complaining guests—everyone had bad experiences and nasty rooms. The employee who checked us out was pleasant, listened to my complaint, and provided the manager’s card so I could contact them. We planned to never stay at another Wyndham property but this was a uniquely bad experience, so we moved to TRYP by Wyndham, which was amazing and we highly recommend (wrote a glowing review for them). Will write a letter to Wyndham and contact the hotel manager about this La Quinta. Save yourself from this type of experience and find another hotel.

The only thing good I can say is that the AC worked and refrigerator worked. Bed was comfortable, but beyond that the room was awful. Carpet was filthy. Air filter on AC was disgusting. I cleaned it my self. Room smelled of smoke. Tub had cigarette burns on the side. Toilet was stained. No hair dryer in room. If you wanted clean towels or housekeeping, you had to tell the front desk by 9:00 AM. They did not tell you this although there was a small sign taped to the reception desk that said this. House keeping said they were renovation the motel, but I saw no signs of it.

The rooms were nothing like the pictures. they smelled like marijuana even though the hotel states they were a smoke free place.
The bathrooms were not clean and not properly stocked.

This was the dirtiest hotel I've ever stayed in with the rudest staff. The carpet was black and filty. It was sticky to try to walk on barefoot and stained new songs. The pull out bed/couch was absolutely covered in large stains as well and filled with crumbs. The kids didn't want to sleep in it. The handles to the shower were broken so extremely difficult to control the temperatures. I tried to get a partial refund and was denied. Even though the website listed it as $89 for the night, we ended up paying $193. Absolutely FILTHY for the price. The manager was an absolute jerk when i voiced my frustrations and said he knew the hotel wasn't in good shape.

Please don’t stay at this hotel under any circumstances.

It’s beyond filthy. It’s just plain dirty in the room. This seems to be a hotel that rents to locals, which is what appeared to be some prostitutes, drug dealers and gang members.

I think you would be a lot safer and happier somewhere else, more expensive. I can honestly say that I will never ever stay here again.

All we did was use the room to sleep, which I wanted to either sleep in my car, or go to another hotel.

Do not stay here, it’s filthy and really dirty.

Both nights we stayed there, the police were there with several cars. No idea what was going on but I’m sure it wasn’t good.
