So easy to get there from the airport. The shuttle showed up immediately and check in staff so helpful.
Love the friendly hospitality

Close to airport. Quiet. Clean.
Asked for upper floor and given a 1st floor with disabled walk-in shower. We checked in early and they said “this is all we have.”
Breakfast was very expensive.
Nice option of having a cafe, instead of stale toast and cold cereal. Great to have options of coffee, too.
My recent stay (two nights) at this hotel was uniformly excellent! The rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable in all regards and the staff is uniformly polite. The exercise area is also superb; well maintained with a good selection of treadmills as well as free weights and kettlebells. The pool and hot tub are also a real asset, and during my stay (in -10 weather), not being utilized by anyone else. The shuttle to and from the airport is efficient and the one driver (missed his name, but he emigrated to the US from Mexico about 30 years ago) personified hustle and was pleasant and courteous to a degree rarely seen in this era.
A few points to mention (and to make sure no one thinks a bot has submitted this review) in mild contrast to the above; there are minifridges in all the rooms, but they aren't easy to find, being tucked inside a cabinet. Additionally, food is available for breakfast and dinner in the hotel, but not at lunch. This requires a brief walk to the nearest restaurant across the street in a lodge, where I found the service uninspiring and the staff disinterested. Finally, if you call the number of the hotel you are connected to the "AI assistant"; ugh! It is a waste of time, and when I asked for a shuttle reservation, I was connected to Marriott's central room reservation service. I'm guessing this is not a problem of the hotel per se, but rather corporate Marriott (and other businesses today) who feel such an AI element is valuable and, no doubt, money saving. Anyone who is reading this from the Anchorage Courtyard or from Marriott, my gentle advice is to get rid of the AI assistant!!! I would much rather have a person answer the phone, or be put on hold, than deal with a 'innovation' that is detrimental to your image of providing customer service. Finally, Corinne at the front desk was a delight to interact with in all regards. Thanks for listening to a bit of a curmudgeonly rant; overall I would return to this hotel anytime I was needing to overnight near the Anchorage airport!
People are the best !!
Visit about 3 times a year and have for the last 8 years. Occasionally spouse gets to join, when this happens have always been told to notify per Bonvoy app they will make a note and if spouse arrives early or needs something when I’m out it’s not a problem. Has worked well all these years. Same scenario this visit except spouse would arrive before me due to work, used app and provided info and spouse name. Recd a message back that was not in a friendly tone advising this isn’t the way to do business they don’t do this sort of thing via app. Make a call. Keep in mind I spend over 100 nights a year just in Bonvoy branded facilities and have been told multiple times if something is needed along these lines to use the app that why they know it is me and they can communicate with me with the clarifier -Any family member coming in early would need their own credit card, fair.
Now I probably wouldn’t even bother to note any of this in a review except over the past two days as I go in and out for my business I see somebody is standing at the front desk testifying about something. How in the world can every guest have booked wrong, gotten wrong info, not followed some weird new step etc. the only constant was that there is not constant. Tells me the rules are arbitrarily being changed for unknown reasons if the hotel has a legit issue with a reservation why would they not have reached out before the guest shows up at the counter??? Even if this is just another money grab for a fee extra bucks per reservation it is poorly thought out This is sad as the hotel is great but on some self induced spiral downward.
If you have new rules, how about an email of expectations for the Customer when you receive the reservation. A marketing person might even bundle all your new regulations and complaints to your customers into something that’s well worded and call it a welcome letter. Food for thought!
Loved the new renovations.
Near airport
I was desperate for a room when a plane I’d been taking was diverted to Anchorage. This hotel had good availability, was spacious and had all the necessities. Pleasant staff and free airport shuttle.
Meals were good but could use more variety.
The price was very expensive!
