Location
Everything was awesome from. Check in to Check out.. Will definitely be back!!
The property is in a great location, right at the cusp of the CBD/Warehouse, Convention Center & Arts District next to the French Quarter. Most of the staff I encountered were kind and helpful when needed, including the parking attendants who were super attentive and courteous. The rooms are spacious, with modern-minimalistic decor. I love seeing a view of the city from higher floors. I will always love that they still give you a warm cookie at check-in! With the proximity to Canal Street right at your foot steps, walking to local museums and eateries keeps you wanting to explore more whether by walking, a cab ride, or trolley. There is a beignet shop immediately next to the hotel for anyone looking for a tasty treat! Jackson Square, the historic St. Louis Cathedral, and The French Market Shops are only a short 15-20 minutes strolling pace away. This hotel is a wonderful option for comfortability, cost, and location.
It would have made me feel safer to be able to use my key-card for entry through the side doors, versus having to walk to the front each time, but I do understand there are additional safety measures for this protocol. The automatic exhaust fan being connected to the bathroom light switch was annoying, especially if you suffer from migraines. The exhaust should have a separate switch. Additionally, in the bathroom the sliding door should be the opposite way. For those who like to check the temperature of the shower before getting in, it would be easier to slide the door closest to the shower head back and do a temp-check versus getting in and either getting a hot or cold shock from the water. In the room I did not like that the window curtains seemed to have blood or chocolate stains on them. And the beds both had sunken spot suggesting it's just time to replace them. I have never had a bad bed experience in my history of rooming at this hotel, so this was disappointing, but I hope necessary updates will be made in the near future. I did not receive make-ready room service for a bathroom or bedding refresh either during my stay so that was odd. I was told by the receptionist when I asked at check-out that they were short-staffed. All of these things are fixable, so I hope to see the improvements in the future!

Had a great stay at the Doubletree New Orleans! Jasmine was wonderful! She was very helpful, very kind, and went above and beyond during our stay. She also had great recommendations for places to visit. It's always nice to have someone who knows what they're doing and she does her job well!
1. We had a broken refrigerator when we arrived. We were bringing in leftovers with us. It took 7 hours and 4 requests to get one. The new refrigerator showed a temperature of 54 when we went to sleep and 64 degrees when we got up. We had to throw all of our food away.
2. The restaurant attached to the hotel is not good. The service slow and some of the staff are rude. The food was not good; we left most of it behind and it cost us over $70 for two meals and a salad. There is so much good food in NOLA. DON'T eat here.
3. They are unable to moderate the temperature in common areas. The lobby, restaurant and hallways were all freezing cold.
4. You can hear whenever someone opens or shuts their door on either side of you. Its very loud.
I would suggest the Homewood Suites in the French Quarter as an alternative.
Location was excellent and the hotel was very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
My husband likes a cup of coffee in the morning and the coffee maker in the room was pitiful. It barely made the water hot. So he headed downstairs and couldn’t get a cup of decaf unless he bought a full breakfast at $22. I had the same issue except with tea. He did manage to get me some hot water, but they charged him $3 for it! PLAIN HOT WATER. Really.
