Holiday Inn Bangkok is my preferred choice of stay in Bangkok.
Pros:

Best reasonably priced hotel with best location to access all popular shopping/restaurant experiences. Room size is right for all.
Can avoid the jam easily with alternative by taking the train instead to reach almost all locations.

Cons:

I think can do better with cleanliness in the room. Newer towels would be preferred. Otherwise everything else is fine and well taken care of.
